Ashley Eckstein Reacts to Ahsoka Tano’s Live-Action Debut in The Mandalorian
Warning: There are spoilers ahead for The Mandalorian season 2 episode 5!
The latest episode of The Mandalorian finally saw the long-awaited live-action debut of Ahsoka Tano. Mando together with the Child — or Grogu, if you prefer — found the former Padawan of Anakin Skywalker on Corvus, where she was clashing with the city’s magistrate Morgan Elsbeth. Ahsoka, portrayed by actress Rosario Dawson, defeated Elsbeth before demanding she divulge the location of her master, the Grand Admiral Thrawn.
After the episode aired, actress Ashley Eckstein took up to Instagram to describe what Ahsoka Tano means to the fans. Eckstein voiced Ahsoka for all seven seasons of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Star Wars: Rebels, starting in 2008. You can check out her full post here below.

While fans may have wanted her to portray Anakin Skywalker’s former Padawan in live-action in the sophomore season of The Mandalorian, Rosario Dawson ultimately got the job. Eckstein, however, did get to make a vocal cameo in the role for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
“Ahsoka taught us that, “You don’t need to carry a sword to be powerful…” and Dave Filoni reminded me that kindness is powerful,” Eckstein then concluded. “It’s my wish that Ahsoka continues to bring people joy, light and most importantly hope. This is the way of Ahsoka Tano.”
