Chico Debarge discusses P.R.O.

Las Vegas Location at Caesars Palace

0

Legendary New York Steak House Peter Luger is coming to Caesars Palace in Las Vegas at the end of 2022. This marks the first domestic expansion in over sixty years for the Michelin-starred restaurant, which opened its doors in 1887 and is commonly known as New York City’s original steak house. It will be their first U.S. location outside of New York.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing Peter Luger to Caesars Palace. It was critical for us to be able to bring to Las Vegas the same menu, the same ambiance and—most important—the same quality beef that we are known for in New York, and Caesars was aligned with that vision,” said Amy Rubenstein, the President of Peter Luger. “Our two iconic brands have rich and celebrated histories, and we could not imagine a better partner in Las Vegas.”

“Peter Luger Steak House is one of the great New York dining destinations, providing world-class food and service for over a century,” said Caesars Entertainment Regional President Sean McBurney. “Just like Caesars Palace, Peter Luger is timeless and inimitable. We are thrilled to make a home for Peter Luger on The Strip, and we know our guests will love the opportunity to experience this legendary New York tradition in the heart of Las Vegas.”

Operating for nearly 135 years, Peter Luger is New York’s top-rated steak house and a favorite among locals and tourists alike. The iconic german beer-hall setting has become a world-famous choice for family gatherings, deal-making, and special occasion celebrations. With its notoriously gruff, bow-tied waitstaff, old-world charm, and on-site dry-aging of legendary USDA-Prime steaks, dining at Peter Luger has become a culinary rite of passage.

Ensuring only the very finest cuts of beef make it to the restaurant’s storied, oak-top tables, the family owners still follow in matriarch Marsha Forman’s tradition of visiting the New York meat markets, where they hand-select only the very best from an already narrow selection of USDA Prime beef. If chosen, subprimals are stamped with the family’s approval and then brought to the on-site dry-aging facilities, where they are kept under carefully regulated temperature and humidity conditions until they meet the rigorous, time-tested Peter Luger standards.

Established in 1887, Peter Luger Steak House originated in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, with a second location in Great Neck, New York, and a recently opened location in Tokyo. It was named to the James Beard Foundation’s list of “America’s Classics” in 2002, boasts a Michelin Star, and has been the Zagat-rated top steak house in New York since the survey began.

Peter Luger Steak House Las Vegas will be located near MR CHOW.

How Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz Ended Up Making Beautiful Music

0

Not exactly the stuff of fairytales, but nothing that couldn’t be overcome with the right mix of honesty and romance, something that’s proven to be a speciality for Swizz.

There was the time he had Keys’ likeness tattooed on his arm (“It’s so beautiful,” she told Wendy Williams, calling it her favorite gift) and, of course, the move he made just ahead of her 29th birthday in January 2010. Proposing with a reported seven-carat diamond, he whisked her off to Hawaii to celebrate and then presented her with another gift.

“I lifted the cardboard flaps and looked inside to see several large canisters. ‘I’ve always wanted you to be my canvas,’ he whispered. The canisters were full of body paint, in every vibrant color imaginable,” she shared in her autobiography. “Later, stroke by stroke in the shadows of dusk, he turned me into his masterpiece, covering me in swirls of yellows, reds and purples. Never have I experienced anything more sensual. Which is why, when I missed my period a few weeks later, I wasn’t exactly surprised. As that winter gave way to spring, we relished two pleasures: the engagement and the pregnancy.”

GETTING REAL (Getting Some #3)by EMMA CHASE

0

‘Sometimes life can be a straight-up asshole…but then it gets better.
And that better can end up being more perfect than you ever dreamed.’

There’s something so comforting heading into an Emma Chase book. It’s that familiarity of knowing our hearts are going to be fulfilled, our funny bones tickled, and our swoon factors will be getting a workout. And we were right to be excited because Getting Real delivered all that and more! This is the reason why we adore this lady’s writing. It’s that feel-good, heart-swelling emotion she brings to each story, and why our love affair with her books has only intensified over time.

We bloody loved this book and all the characters! In Getting Real, the third book in the Getting Some series, we meet, single Dad, ER Doctor, Connor Daniels…and talk about swoon! Oh boy! Did we fall head over heels for this guy! A 42-year-old Dad divorced dad of three boys was the stuff romance books are made of.  Good looking, sweet, sexy, loyal, and a loving father. He was the real deal.

‘When you find happiness, you can’t take it for granted.
You need to grab onto that shit with both hands and hold on tight. You can’t waste time, you can’t hesitate – if you do, chances are good you’ll regret it.
And regrets suck ass in an especially brutal way.’

After 14 years of marriage, Connor’s ex-wife Stacey left him, deciding she wanted time for herself, leaving Connor to bring up their three boys Aaron, Brayden, and Spencer. It hasn’t been easy and being the eldest of four boys himself, from a close family in a small town, it’s not the way he saw his life playing out, and can’t imagine he’ll ever be in a relationship again.

Violet Richardson is a dedicated nurse at Lakeside Memorial, a real sweetheart, and she’s been admiring Dr. Connor Daniels from afar for a while now, not realising Connor has been admiring her too. After a lacklustre matchmaking attempt from Connor’s brother Garret and their friend Dean, Connor, and Violet’s paths cross and sparks fly! But will Connor cock it up before it even beings?

Getting Real gives a poignant and respectful nod to nursing staff which is well-timed, and although there are some emotionally tough scenes, they’re handled with the sincerity and warmth this author is synonymous with, making the third book in the Getting Some series our favourite.

Emma Chase spins a wonderful tale working the alternating POV’s between Violet and Connor brilliantly and thank goodness for both POV’s because had this only been from Violet’s point of view, we may have felt differently. And herein lies the supreme talent of this author that is the ‘male POV.’ Emma Chase shines when delivering Connor’s POV. We felt it all. His humour, his love, his loyalty, his frustrations, his flaws, and his vulnerability. Her talent for penning a sublime male pov is only matched by her talent for writing children so flawlessly and heartfelt. We know Tim’s book is going to be a beauty, and hope we get to revisit Lakeside and the Daniel brothers again soon!

“Maybe some of us only get one chance at bat.”
“Oh, baby, that’s just not true. Love is like a river; it keeps flowing and moving your whole life. You just haven’t found the right stream to run off with yet, but she’s out there. “

Fallen Order 2 Announced With Two Star Wars Games

0

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a hit for Electronic Arts when it launched in 2019, and now Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 has officially been announced by the publisher along with two other titles.

The sequel will see Cameron Monaghan return as Cal Kestis. Respawn game director Stig Asmussen will oversee development on Jedi: Fallen Order 2. While no release date was given, reporter Jason Schreier stated it “has been in production for a while and should be out this year or next.” However, the shooter and strategy games appear to be years away from releasing.

The other two Star Wars games will also be overseen by Respawn with one being a first-person shooter, which is a natural fit for the Titanfall and Apex Legends developer. The shooter will feature Peter Hirschmann as the game director. Meanwhile, the third title will be a strategy game by Bit Reactor with Respawn producing.

“We are excited to continue working with the superbly talented developers at Respawn,” Lucasfilm Games boss Douglas Reilly said. “They have demonstrated excellence in telling epic Star Wars stories along with best-in-class gameplay across different genres and we are looking forward to bringing more amazing experiences to the galaxy far, far away.”

RELATED: EA Will ‘Continue to Invest’ in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Franchise

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is an action-adventure game that adopted the Metroidvania style of exploration and progression. The gameplay, combined with the focus of a fully single-player narrative, was a massive hit for fans, with the game earning rave reviews and selling more than ten million copies in just a year.

The news of a sequel for the game comes after Electronic Arts had committed to the series in August 2021. During an earnings call, the company promised to “continue to invest” in the series, essentially confirming that they would be making another game following its massive success. Reports of the Dead Space remake have even cited Fallen Order as a success and a reason that EA saw value in making more single-player games.

Ex Medias Officially Launches & Drop 1st Compilation, ‘WE ARE EX MEDIAS VOL I ‘

0

Artist Collective Ex Medias just launched, embodying a powerful mission: to shine a light on underexposed artists and genres. Since its inception, it has expanded into a nation-wide collective with the mission of nurturing the growth of our artists to their fullest potential. They aim to foster community based on supporting one another, inspiring successful actions, and helping maintain the tried and true path each member is destined to be on with their career path. Founded by electronic music DJ/producer Able Grey, Ex Medias has made an exciting debut, showcasing 13 artists, with their first compilation album, ‘WE ARE EX MEDIAS VOL I’.

You may not have heard of any of the artists included, but the talent is unreal. Boasting ten tracks, the compilation album is powerful, emotive and truly sensational. A few stand out tracks include “See The Light” by JWILLI, a euphoric, melodic bass track that strikes perfection, balancing beautiful sounds and melodies with a blissful vocal. “Dream” by Meridian is future bass but with his own twist, entirely captivating with a futuristic vocal sample paired with a thundering drop.

Goast adds a break to the tension with a tranquil, acoustic intro for “Hold On“. Juxtaposing the ambient verses with a electrifying future-inspired drop that slides in suddenly, the process repeats again, a testament to the talent of Goast as he shows what is possible and workable in terms of extreme energy levels being a true fit into one song.

Overall, ‘WE ARE EX MEDIAS VOL I’ is a fascinating album that is sure to leave you speechless by the end. Listen below!

Guest Mix: Afro Cuban Jazz & Guaguanco from New York with Lex Blondin

22

All music rights belong to their rightful owners. Please support the musicians and buy their music.
#vinylmix #afrocuban #salsa

Originally from Paris, Lex Blondin started the London based musical hub Total Refreshment Centre in 2012 and co-runs the monthly Future Jazz night called Church of Sound, both of which have evolved in record labels in recent years.
The latest endeavor in the musical adventure is an exciting 18 piece Afro Cuban Jazz band he put together in collaboration with some incredible musicians from the London scene.
A majority of the tunes they play comes directly from Lex’s vinyl collection.
The project is called New Regency Orchestra and the records played in this mix are very much what the band draws its inspiration from:
Hard-blowing music for hard times, showcasing swirling horn arrangements over heavy hitting rhythms.
The tunes go from the deep 1950’s Afro Cuban rhythms and jazz harmonies of Arsenio Rodriguez and Machito to the more hard driving 70s Salsa tunes with bands like La Protesta and Orquesta Colon’s ‘Asi Vivo Yo’ (the latter was produced by non-other than Bob Blank!).

The mix starts with the intro from Chico O’Farril’s 2nd Afro Cuban Jazz Suite, an epic sonic experience delivered on 10 inch from 1954, recorded with what that sounds like a very large ensemble playing highly sophisticated arrangements!

The 18 piece orchestra will play live at Earth in Hackney on the 12th of November, opening the London Jazz Festival in style.
