Zack Snyder’s Justice League Trailer: The bell’s been rung

The time has come for the arrival of the official trailer of Zack Snyder’s Justice League, highlighting the infamous director’s cut of the DC Extended Universe blockbuster with new footage of Ray Fisher’s Cyborg, Jared Leto’s Joker and more, all set to arrive on March 18. The trailer can be viewed below!

Justice League will be hitting HBO Max solely as a four-hour movie on March 18. It was originally revealed at DC FanDome that the movie will release on HBO Max in 2021 by being broken up into four one-hour parts that will also be released as one four-hour film, but Snyder’s new comments seem to indicate it will solely be released as the one-off film instead of the four-part series. In an informal Q&A with the director via the comments, Snyder also revealed that there will be no after-credits scenes, the release date is still set for March even as potential competition Godzilla vs. Kong just moved to the same month and its runtime is four hours prior to the credits.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League has reportedly cost around $70 million in order to properly finish the editing and visual effects of the director’s original vision, as well as the additional photography. The original post-production crew is also expected to return along with the cast members to record additional dialogue for the cut.

Fueled by the hero’s restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Justice League sees Bruce Wayne enlist the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League, which features a screenplay from Chris Terrio from a story by Snyder and Terrio, stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, with J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, and Amy Adams as Lois Lane.

Released in November 2017, the film earned mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike, praising the action and performances from Gadot and Miller while criticizing every other aspect of the film, namely the inconsistent tone that many fault Joss Whedon (The Avengers) for after taking over directorial duties from Snyder. With a large budget of $300 million and a break-even point of $750 million, the film is considered a box office bomb having grossed only $658 million.

Hangout Music Festival Moves Dates to 2022 with Possibility of Fall 2021 Event

0

Hangout Music Festival has officially moved to 2022, but is still exploring options for a potential Fall 2021 event.

In a new update, organizers reveal they are monitoring the ever-changing COVID-19 situation. Like the vast majority of festivals, Hangout was forced to cancel in 2020 due to the pandemic and is now eager to return.

Hangout shares per the statement below:

It’s crazy we are in this position again almost a year later, but due to the ongoing pandemic, we’re not going to be able to host the Hangout Music Festival in May of this year. We’ve been working on ways to pull it off, but May is just going to be a bit too soon to gather that many people together.

If a Fall 2021 event is possible, Hangout will keep hopeful attendees in the loop:

We are itching to do this show, so trust that we are going to do everything we can to make it happen while keeping the health & safety of our fans, artists, crew and partners as the top priority.

New dates for Hangout Music Festival are May 20 – 22, 2022. Ticketholders can expect an email in the coming weeks regarding the process for exchanges and refunds.

Arizona Prosecutor Attempted To Charge Non-Violent Protesters As Gang Members | National News

0

An Arizona prosecutor filed a motion on Friday (Feb. 12) to dismiss charges against 18 people charged for participating in a criminal street gang but were just protesting against police violence, according to KTAR.com.

Maricopa County Attorney Allister Adel said she filed the motions “in the interest of justice.”

This reversal comes after an investigative report by ABC15 raised questions about the prosecutor creating a fictional gang narrative to unjustly prosecute a group of Black Lives Matter protester at a rally in Phoenix last October.

“These political prosecutions should have never happened in the first place. We demand accountability for all prosecutors and police officers involved,” the American Civil Liberties Union of Arizona tweeted in response to the announcement, adding its voice to a chorus of others who said it was a political prosecution.

Phoenix police officers have a reputation of using excessive force. In recent years, Phoenix police have shot and killed people at a higher rate than most other American police departments, according to ABC15.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix police are accused of targeting activist and former Missouri lawmaker Bruce Franks Jr., who led a non-violent protest on August 9, 2020, the anniversary of the death of Michael Brown. ABC15 said a grand jury indicted him based on selective evidence and testimony from the prosecutor’s office. While others have had their records cleared, the charges against Franks still stand.

Celebrities and politicians jumped to Franks’ defense after the story broke to national news:

“Prosecutor Allister Adele is doubling down on politics prosecutions,” said Franks, a former Missouri state representative and current Maricopa county resident. “We have received trumped up charges, been indicted with felonies even though police body cam footage contradicts their own accounts. Now we are seeing the most outlandish show if force as she tries to pin protestors and activist with street gang charges.”

He added: “This won’t slow us down or shut us up! Our 1st and 4th Amendment rights are being stripped by a person who represents a party that says they want to protect the constitution, I guess it wasn’t written for me!”

The protestors are being charged under a section of Arizona Revised Statute 13-2321, which reads: “A person commits assisting a criminal street gang by committing any felony offense, whether completed or preparatory for the benefit of, at the direction of or in association with any criminal street gang.”

Franks is demanding the charges against him be dropped but is also seeking accountability for law enforcement officials involved with the arrests and charges. In an exclusive statement to BET.com, he said, “Drop all the charges! It’s time to hold those responsible accountable! Fire Chief Jerri Williams, City Manager Ed Zuerker and Prosecutor April Sponsel.”

ONLY ONCE by ASHLEY MUNOZ

0

‘I was on the verge of a total meltdown. This wasn’t how I’d pictured my life when I turned thirty…’

Only Once by Ashley Munoz is a beautiful and emotional second chance romance which we read from cover to cover, in one sitting. It had so many elements which we love in our romance. A single parent with two gorgeous kiddies, hot movie star, and angst…a lot of ANGST! As our first taste of this Author’s stories, it was wonderful, our hearts were fully invested in the ups and downs of Bexley and Ryan’s soul mate love. The writing was flawless, had real depth and vivid imagery. It would be remiss of us however not to mention the book cover, as it is one of our pet peeves. In the book Bexley has white-blond hair, the cover model has dark brown curls!

‘I had never considered that I was worthy of being chosen first, regardless of how much I wanted it and even though I’d left Ryan for it. I’d never actually believed it about myself.’

Bexley’s childhood was cold, loveless and she was at rock bottom in the list of priorities by those meant to love her. Her story was heart-breaking, and we could not help but understand her hesitance, her insecurities, and her priorities. As details of her story came to light, it was impossible not to feel her angst from the scars caused by people leaving her throughout her life. The love she has been sorely missing came through in her relationship with her children, Bella, and Cole. We have a real bugbear with how children are often written to sound and act older than their ages. Not so in Only Once. These kids were adorable, they loved their mum fiercely and they acted and spoke in a manner true to their ages. We fell in love with Bell and Cole.

“Honey, the best kind of love story happens when we don’t feel lovable, when we feel ugly and bruised, like the reject of the pile. That’s when that shit sneaks up and bites the hell out of you.”

Ryan Prince lives the typical movie heartthrob lifestyle, a woman in every corner of the country and -one nighter’s- on speed dial. Ryan Prince does not do serious, not since Bexley! He met and fell in love with her in college over ten years ago, they both knew theirs was a forever kind of love. But sometimes life takes a sudden turn and everything you fear or least expect comes into fruition and old anxieties resurface. Years pass but the hearts never forget. When confronted with a face from the past that haunts your every waking moment, how do you react? Old wounds are reopened and what once was, rises to the surface. We felt his heartbreak and sense of abandonment. We swooned over his actions and his heartfelt moments with Bella and Cole. And we loved how he loved Bexley.

‘Sometimes in life we only get a few seconds to tell our truth, and no matter how much we want to change it, we can’t erase it from other people’s lives.’

So, if you are a reader like us who loves a lot of angst and swoon-worthy romances, Only Once is absolutely for you! Great chemistry, wonderful characters and the heat was scorching when it really counted. A journey of love, heartbreak, forgiveness, and redemption, it certainly ticked all the boxes for us and we will definitely be reading more from Ashley Munoz.

“Let me fix us, Bex.”

Embrace the past, present and future of Hardstyle. #VoS

Pioneer, innovator, revolutionary; it was just a matter of time before Activator revealed his second artist album.

Following up on the release of ‘Authentic Style’ in 2009, his latest creative endeavour, ‘Veteran of Style’, has taken over the scene on the 1st of May this year. Passing through and experiencing the genre in all its forms, the album is divided into four parts which will be released separately.

Each part contains six tracks, representing a specific style and period of Hardstyle: Euphoric, Early, Raw and Nu-style.

Manuel Tessarollo, aka Activator, started as a producer in 2001. Gradually building his unique style, he reached a point where he realized that it was the right moment to translate his veteran experience into a new album. On ‘#VoS’, Activator wants to take you on a Hardstyle journey showcasing the versatility that he stands for as a producer by mastering the craft of invigorating melodies, distorted kicks, energetic reverse bass, filthy screeches and infectious vocals.

With a constant need for cutting edge music and new sounds, there is no doubt that Activator will continue at the forefront of the scene for many more years to come.

‘VETERAN OF STYLE PT.4 (NU-STYLE)’ will be released on Activa Shine. Available in all digital stores from the 2nd of November 2015.
