Khadijah Haqq is getting ready to welcome a baby girl, the former Dash Dolls star announced on Instagram Dec. 12. 

The actress, who is married to former NFL player Bobby McCray, shared a photo of herself holding her pregnant belly while standing in front of a wall of white roses at her baby shower. She revealed that her good friend Khloe Kardashian and identical twin sister Malika Haqq helped make the day extra special. 

“I feel showered! Today my family & friends virtually Brunched with me for Baby Kapri! I love you all so much. Special thank you to Malika & Dominique for planning every detail, Khloe for my amazing flower wall, and @sugartripla for making all the desserts,” she shared in the caption. “I’m ready when you are baby girl.”

Malika posted about her sister’s exciting news on her own Instagram, writing, “Our family is so blessed and excited to welcome you Baby Girl! Kapri 2021.”

Sister Act 3: Disney+ Confirms Project with Whoopi Goldberg to Return

Disney has officially announced the development of the long-awaited third installment to the hit 1990s comedy musical Sister Act, with Oscar-winning actress Whoopi Goldberg attached to reprise her iconic role as Sister Mary Clarence. In addition, Tyler Perry has also signed on to serve as a producer alongside Goldberg. The long-in-development project is expected to make its debut on Disney+.

The original film had its theatrical release in 1992 where it starred Whoopi Goldberg as Deloris, a Las Vegas lounge singer who witnesses her mob boss boyfriend commit murder. Deloris is placed in a nunnery in witness protection, hiding under the identity of Sister Mary Clarence. Maggie Smith, Kathy Najimy, Wendy Makkena, Harvey Keitel, and the late Bill Nunn also starred in the movie. Due to its success, it was immediately followed-up by a sequel, Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit, in 1993, and even inspired a Broadway musical.

Sister Act 3 has been in-development since 2015. Since then, many producers and writers had been previously attached for the project including Kirsten “Kiwi” Smith and Karen McCullah (Legally Blonde, The House Bunny, She’s the Man) and Alli Shearmur (Cinderella). The most recent creative team attached to the threequel was Insecure’s Regina Hicks and Star showrunner Karin Gist but it’s still unclear whether they’re still working on the film or not.

Goldberg is best known for her roles in films such as: the period drama The Color Purple which gave her first Golden Globe Award; and in the romantic film Ghost starring alongside Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze. She is one of the few people who has received the most coveted achievement in Hollywood which is the EGOT (Emmy, Golden Globe, Oscar, Tony) awards. She will next be seen in CBS All Access’ upcoming Stephen King limited series adaptation of The Stand.



VERZUZ Postponed After Ashanti Tests Positive for COVID-19

Tonight (December 12), Ashanti and Keyshia Cole were scheduled to be the latest artists to pit their hits against one another on VERZUZ. However, after Ashanti revealed that she had tested positive for COVID-19, the battle has been postponed until Saturday, January 9. See more below.

VERZUZ returned in November after an October break, with Gucci Mane and Jeezy bringing their long-term beef to Atlanta’s Magic City club. Prior to that, Patti LaBelle and Gladys Knight had taken the stage together, an evening that featured a special surprise appearance from Dionne Warwick.

Hi guys i will be doing a tournament on arsenal will be called ”Arsenal Assault Fridays”, Will start on monthly rotation base time. To enter into the Tournament is to provide previous Videos of montage or personally good at the game, so we can focus on a good content. Cardi B Is ‘Thankful’ For ‘WAP’s’ Impact

Of the many things that Cardi B has had to deal with in this whirlwind of a year, one thing that she’s very thankful for is her collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, “WAP,” and its cultural impact. 

She accepted the award for Billboard’s Woman of the Year at its virtual Women in Music Event. After receiving  the award from Breonna Taylor’s mother, Tamika Palmer, who introduced Cardi as someone that has “used her platform to spread the truth about what happened to Breonna and to reaffirm that Black women’s lives matter,” Cardi spoke about the year that she’s had.

“This year, when it came to music, I had so many things planned,” she said. “I had so many projects that I wanted to come out. Unfortunately, due to COVID, I couldn’t put out the visuals the way that I wanted. It messed up my creative space. You know, I think everyone this year was just messed up.”

“So I’m just grateful and thankful that the song that I actually did put out this year, which was ‘WAP,’ featuring Megan Thee Stallion, not only was it an amazing song that broke so many records, but it was a conversation that I never thought was going to be so big,” she said.”I mean, it pissed off a whole bunch of Republicans for no reason, you know what I’m saying? It was just weird.”

Continuing, she talked about her improvement over the years. “I want to say thank you, everybody, and I want to say to all the girls out there that are just like me, or just regular girls, when I came into the music industry, I didn’t know if these people were going to accept me,” she said. 

“Throughout the years, if you listen to my mixtapes and you listen to my music now, I have progressed because I wanted to progress,” she continued. “I want to be the best I can at anything I do, and you know, you got to put your mind to it.”
