There’s a new girl in Gotham City.
Batwoman just released its first full-length trailer for season two and it’s clear that the absence of Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) is hitting the city hard. While Luke (Camrus Johnson), Mary (Nicole Kang) and Sophie (Meagan Tandy) are all in tears over the disappearance of their friend, Ryan (Javicia Leslie) seems to find the batsuit in the river and she isn’t quite sure what to do with it.
Alice (Rachel Skarsten), meanwhile, is ready for a challenge.
“I met the new girl,” she says. “She’s gonna be handful.”
Ryan doesn’t immediately put on the suit, but we soon see that she not only puts it on, but she connects with Luke and makes some alterations that seem to alarm him as the keeper of all the bat-stuff.
But as Mary says, “the city needs a Batwoman,” so they’ve got to make this work.
Oscar winner Emma Stone (La La Land, The Favourite, Birdman) is set to star in the Safdie Brothers’ (Uncut Gems) Showtime comedy The Curse, which has been ordered to series by the premium cable network (via The Hollywood Reporter).

The series is described as a “genre-bending scripted comedy that explores how an alleged curse disturbs the relationship of a newly married couple as they try to conceive a child while co-starring on their problematic new HGTV show.”
Nathan Fielder (Nathan for You, How to with John Wilson) and Benny Safdie co-created the series and will co-star alongside Stone. Stone and Fielder will play the couple in the project, with Benny Safdie starring as the producer of the couple’s HGTV show.
“The fierce intelligence and wit of the incomparable Emma Stone make her the perfect partner with the ingenious minds of the Safdie brothers and the subversive comedy of Nathan Fielder,” said Showtime Exec VP of scripted programming Amy Israel. “Together, they promise to deliver a groundbreaking satire that is both unexpected and deeply human. Showtime continues to shine as a beacon for visionary filmmakers who are looking to create their ambitious, singular shows.”
Fielder will also direct and executive produce alongside Josh and Benny Safdie via their Elara Pictures production company. Stone is executive producing through her Fruit Tree banner. A24’s Ravi Nandan will also serve as executive producer. A24 will produce.

On December 15, Grand Theft Auto Online is getting an update called The Cayo Perico Heist. The addition will feature the Music Locker, an “underground nightclub and social space” that features Moodymann, Keinemusik, and Palms Trax as the resident DJs.
The Cayo Perico Heist will also feature new radio stations, including one curated and hosted by Julian Casablancas. The station—K.U.L.T. 99.1 Vespucci Beach, “Low Power Beach Radio”—will feature appearances by Mac DeMarco, David Cross, and Tony Mac, according to a press release.
Another new Cayo Perico Heist station is Joy Orbison’s Still Slipping Los Santos. Plus, Flying Lotus will make a new mix for his long-running FlyLo FM station. Watch a trailer for The Cayo Perico Heist below.

Ty Breaker is coming to HGTV. The new series will star craftsman and host Ty Pennington, who is best known for his time on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. He’ll compete with design experts like Alison Victoria (Windy City Rehab), Grace Mitchell (One of a Kind), and Sabrina Soto (The High Low Project) and help homeowners make tough renovation decisions. The new series is set to arrive in January.
HGTV revealed more about the new series in a press release.
“Popular carpenter, craftsman and designer Ty Pennington will help conflicted homeowners decide whether to overhaul their current home or renovate a different property to suit their needs in the new HGTV series Ty Breaker. Premiering on Monday, Jan. 11, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, each of the eight hour-long episodes will feature one of HGTV’s savvy design experts: Alison Victoria (Windy City Rehab), Grace Mitchell (One of a Kind) or Sabrina Soto (The High Low Project), as she tries to persuade the family to let her create a beautifully customized new place.
Meanwhile, Ty, who spends quality time with each family to find out about their property’s problem areas, will strive for clients to stay put and enjoy a whole-home renovation. The friendly competition will up the ante between Ty and the starring guest expert as each vies to impress clients with stunning home renovation options. Two design plans will be presented, but only one will be the “Ty Breaker.”
“I can’t wait for folks to watch Ty Breaker! I loved meeting so many awesome families and helping them decide on their future home,” said Ty. “I’m doing all I can to sway them to stay in their current digs by adding some spectacular upgrades, but Alison, Grace and Sabrina are amazing renovators, designers and competitors – they know how to win!”
The series will showcase a range of inspiring home renovation and design solutions, including adjusting a home to suit a multigenerational family, helping a newly engaged couple combine households and reimagining the perfect home for a newly blended family. King Von’s first posthumous music video is out for “Wayne’s Story,” a track from his debut studio album, Welcome to O’ Block.
The short video is an immersive one, telling the story of a child who shoots someone after a dice game and then starts to commit burglaries. The viewer follows the child as he grows into an adult and gets into a serious situation that leaves a family member dead.

The video ends with the nameless man taking revenge with a “to be continued” frame wrapping it up.
King Von was shot and killed after a confrontation outside of an Atlanta night club on Nov. 6. He got into a fight with rapper Quando Rondo and, during the scuffle, was hit by gunfire and rushed to the hospital, where he later died. Timothy Leeks, 22, was arrested and charged with his murder.
King Von’s debut album, Welcome to O’Block, came out on Oct. 30. It hit number 5 on the Billboard Hot 200 in November. The rapper’s family and team released a statement thanking fans for their support of both King Von and the album, promising to keep going with the album’s rollout.

“Thank you to everyone who has shown their outpouring of love for King Von,” the statement reads. “You all played a massive role in Von’s accomplishments, and by continuing to play his music and sharing your stories about how he has inspired and influenced you all, you’re keeping his legacy alive.”
“To celebrate Von’s artistry, vision, and the immense love that he had for his fans, we will be continuing his rollout of Welcome to O’Block, while working to share unreleased music and interviews that he devoted his creativity to completing,” it continues. “Von had been working on new endeavors that we will be announcing down the line.
