Upcoming Matt Damon Movies: Whatâs Ahead for the Actor/Producer
No Sudden Move, TBD (Post-Production)
Matt Damon has been the unofficial king of the cameos in recent years. Beyond his above-mentioned appearance in 2019âs Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, Damon has made memorable appearances in Deadpool 2 and Thor: Ragnarok over the last couple of years.
Damon also has done a handful of cameos in some of long-time collaborator Steven Soderberghâs films, and could have another one on his hands with a report that he will appear in Soderberghâs HBO Max film No Sudden Move.
No Sudden Move is set in 1955 Detroit and follows a group of small-time criminals hired to steal a simple document. However, when the job goes wrong, they search for the mysterious party who hired them and learn of the much bigger game that they have unwittingly become a part of. The unsurprisingly star-studded ensemble cast includes Don Cheadle, Benicio Del Toro, David Harbour, Amy Seimetz, Jon Hamm, Ray Liotta, Kieran Culkin, Brendan Fraser, Noah Jupe, Bill Duke, Frankie Shaw and Julia Fox. Damon, according to Deadline, was set to shoot his part in two days this past November.

Natalie Portman Says “Being Sexualized as a Child” Made Her “Afraid”
Natalie Portman is opening up about the heartbreaking way that she was affected by acting roles from her earlier years.
The actress was a guest on the Armchair Expert podcast on Monday, Dec. 7, where she told host Dax Shepard that playing sexualized characters at the start of her career had an insidious impact on her.Â
Portman, who began acting at age 12, discussed her role in the 1996 film Beautiful Girls, in which her 13-year-old character Marty develops a relationship with a man played by Timothy Hutton. She told Shepard that it was clear to her that she was being portrayed as a “Lolita figure,” referring to Vladimir Nabokov‘s classic 1955 novel about a girl who engages in a sexual relationship with a much-older man.
“Being sexualized as a child, I think, took away from my own sexuality because it made me afraid, and it made me like the way I could be safe was to be like, ‘I’m conservative,’ and ‘I’m serious and you should respect me,’ and ‘I’m smart,’ and ‘Don’t look at me that way,'” said the Thor star.

The Black Belt: Chris Pratt to Star in New Coming-of-Age Comedy
MCU star Chris Pratt has officially signed on for one of the leading roles in Monarch Mediaâs upcoming coming-of-age comedy film titled The Black Belt which was written by Randall Green (The Perfect Date).

The Black Belt will reportedly center around a shy, unassuming teen boy on a quest for expertise in karate, and the unorthodox uncle who guides him along the way. On top of starring, Pratt will also be serving as a producer through his Indivisible Productions.
The film will be produced by Monarch Mediaâs Steve Barnett and Alan Powell along with Indivisibleâs Jon Schumacher. It will be executive produced by Monarchâs Vicky Patel with UTA Independent Film Group to oversee the filmâs sales and distribution.

Pratt became a blockbuster star for his performances in the Jurassic World films and Guardians of the Galaxy films. He is set to return to the two big franchises in the upcoming Jurassic World: Dominion and in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder. He will also next be seen in the sci-fi action film The Tomorrow War and the Russo Brothersâ action-comedy Saigon Bodyguards.
