Bassline exactly AS PLAYED on the original recording with the PROPER TONE OF THE BASS. Bass Player Ray Ransom played bass on this Hit song from Brick’s LP, Good High released in 1976 on Bang Records. I grew up in Detroit listening to the Motown sound every day of my life and I interpret the bassline with ‘feeling’ — as Funky and choose to play on a Fender Jazz Bass for the optimum sound AND you will notice there are no ad-libs or personal riffs played—just what’s on the LP. btw, I have been playing bass over 47 years and to me, the TONE of the bass is JUST AS IMPORTANT as getting the notes right. Thank you.

My bass is a 2012 Fender Roadworn Jazz Bass modified with lollipop tuners (custom ordered and made by Madison Music, Michigan) and a vintage 1960 Sprague capacitor which replaces the factory-issued capacitor (installed by my guitar luthier, Luigi Spezzacatena, from south Italy), and Ernie Ball flatwound medium gauge strings, and playing thru a 60 watt Marshall B25 MK-2 amplifier with no additional electronic effects.
