Previously on “2020 Is Wild,” several mysterious monoliths were found in different spots across the globe. With no rhyme or reason, these figures have arrived without warning, and in some cases disappeared just as quickly. While most people might be freaked out and potentially afraid of this phenomenon, there’s one person would have definitely been into it: 2001: A Space Odyssey director, and filmmaking legend, Stanley Kubrick. At least, that’s what visual effects artist Joy Cuff, someone who worked with Kubrick on that very film, thinks anyway.

What’s This TV Show About?

Airing on the Showtime cable chanenl, the Your Honor TV series stars Bryan Cranston, Hunter Doohan, Michael Stuhlbarg, Hope Davis, Carmen Ejogo, Isiah Whitlock Jr., and Sofia Black-D’Elia, with guests Maura Tierney, Amy Landecker, Margo Martindale, Lorraine Toussaint, Chet Hanks, Lamar Johnson, and Lilli Kay. Michael Desiato (Cranston) is a highly-respected New Orleans judge whose personal and professional lives are turned upside down when his teenage son, Adam (Doohan), is involved in a hit-and-run. This leads to a high-stakes game of lies, deceit, and impossible choices for both of them. Meanwhile, Jimmy Baxter (Stuhlbarg) is the much-feared head of a crime family and the husband of Gina (Davis), who might be even more dangerous than her husband.

When people say 2020 is a year that will go down in history, it’s by no means an exaggeration.

This year has been memorable one for a multitude of reasons, some of them good and others terribly bad. It started off on a definite low, with Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna, perishing along with seven others in a plane crash.

Though it seemed impossible for things to improve at the time, the mood picked up when award season arrived. Thanks to the numerous awards shows, director Bong Joon Ho arrived on the scene with the cast of Parasite, proving that a movie can unite people in a truly unprecedented way.

As spring approached, moments seemed to pass by in a blur, with only one word standing out: coronavirus. At the time, it was a mysterious virus that had people locked up and binge watching everything and anything, including the Netflix documentary Tiger King.

And though all of this seems like it happened a lifetime ago, Google is here to remind us that it was just a few months ago that these subjects made headlines.

Radio Silence Re-Teaming With Ready or Not Scribes for MGM’s Reunion

Coming on the heels of wrapping production on the highly-anticipated fifth installment in the Scream franchise, filmmaking trio Radio Silence have already found their next project in the MGM high school horror pic Reunion, which will see them reunite with the scribes of their hit horror-comedy Ready or Not, according to Deadline.

Penned by Guy Busick on a story developed by he and R. Christopher Murray, the movie will see the horrific experience of high school reunions elevated to a new level as a group of uninspired old friends become their graduating class’ only hope for survival against an evil shape-shifting creature.

In addition to direction, Radio Silence trio Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett and Chad Villela will produce the project alongside Project X Entertainment’s William Sherak, James Vanderbilt and Paul Neinstein, with whom they collaborated on Scream, and Vinson Films’ Tripp Vinson, who was attached to Ready or Not, while Vinson Films’ Tara Farney is set to executive produce.

Following the smash hit success of Ready or Not, which grossed over $57 million on its $6 million budget and garnered rave reviews from critics and audiences alike, Radio Silence reunited with Busick for the surprise fifth installment in the Scream series that will see franchise vets Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette leading a cast mixed of old and new stars including Marley Shelton, Jack Quaid, Jenna Ortega and more, which Busick co-wrote with Vanderbilt and is currently slated for a January 14, 2022 release.

Michael Kiwanuka Shares New Mix of Brittany Howard’s “13th Century Metal”: Listen

Brittany Howard’s song “13th Century Metal” has received a new mix from Michael Kiwanuka. Listen to his version of the Jaime track below.

“I was so excited to get to work on this project as I’ve always been a big fan of Brittany’s music,” Kiwanuka said in a statement. “Knowing this particular track and being such a fan of her voice, I wanted to not meddle with her voice, and then to make it front and center. She sounds so victorious when she sings and speaks, so the music I made was governed by that.”

The end of 2020 has brought good news for both Brittany Howard and Michael Kiwanuka: Kiwanuka won the 2020 Mercury Prize for his album KIWANUKA. He’s also up for Best Rock Album at the 2021 Grammys. Howard earned five 2021 Grammy nominations, including nods for Best Alternative Music Album, Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song, Best R&B Performance, and Best American Roots Performance.
