There’s mixed news for fans of the Feel Good TV series on Netflix. The streaming service has renewed the dramedy series for a second, albeit final, season. The first season had been a co-production with Channel 4 in the UK but the second season will be a Netflix exclusive.
A semi-autobiographical series, Feel Good was co-created and written by Canadian comic Mae Martin and Joe Hampson. The series follows recovering addict and comedian Mae (Martin), who is trying to control the addictive behaviors and intense romanticism that permeate every facet of her life. Life is further complicated by a new and all-consuming relationship with her new girlfriend, George (Charlotte Ritchie). In the second season, the love story continues as Mae struggles to come to terms with the ghosts from her past and George tries to reinvent her present.
Martin, Ritchie, Lisa Kudrow, Philip Burgers, and Adrian Lukis will return for the second season. Anthony Stewart Head, Jordan Stephens, John Ross Bowie, Eve, and Eleanor Matsuura will join the cast.
Martin broke the news of the renewal via social media.

“I’m beyond excited to be able to return to the world of Feel Good, and to see Mae and George’s love story through to the dramatic conclusion we had always planned,” said Martin. “I’m really deeply attached to this story and I’m so grateful to be getting back to work with the incredible team at Objective Fiction and our hilarious cast. Having spent most of 2020 speaking only to my kettle and my television as I watched the world burn on the internet, I’m euphoric to be around other human beings again. Seeing Joe Hampson’s and my dumb jokes come to life is heaven. Thank you, Netflix!”
Production is underway in London on the new episodes and they’ll be released at some point in 2021. Though Feel Good is coming to an end, Netflix is developing another project with Martin and series producer Objective Fiction.

According to Halle, Hollywood did not truly appreciate Natalie’s gifts when it came to casting the actress.
“Natalie represented actual black women, not what black women are perceived to be,” the X-Men star shared. “For that she was often underrated, passed over – deprived of the platform she truly deserved. But her light continues to shine through the people who grew up watching her, the people who knew her best and those of us who loved her.”
She added, “I’ll love you forever my sweet friend.”
A statement posted to Natalie’s Instagram page praised the late performer as a “bright light in this world,” not to mention an “extraordinary mother and wife.”
Holly Robinson Peete tweeted that she was “absolutely decimated by this news” and explained that she got to know Natalie when her mom was managing the actress.
In a rare move for the series, it’s been a full year since fans last caught up with their favorite characters in the small Ontario town of Letterkenny and now Hulu and Crave have released the cold opening for the forthcoming ninth season of the hit comedy, which is set to premiere on Christmas Day in Canada on Crave and the following day on Hulu in the US. The series, created by and starring Jared Keeso, started as a YouTube series entitled “Letterkenny Problems” and follows the antics of a group of characters in the titular rural Canadian town with a population of 5,000 that is home to “hicks, skids, hockey players and Christians,” with a focus on Wayne, his sister Katy (Michelle Mylett) and their two friends Daryl (Nathan Dales) and Squirrelly Dan (K. Trevor Wilson).
Originally premiering on CraveTV in February 2016 and running for six seasons of six episodes each with a holiday special tucked in between each one starting with the hiatus between the second and third season, the series proved to be a hit, receiving rave reviews from critics and being a ratings hit for the streaming service, having been nominated for 20 Canadian Screen Awards and winning seven including Best Comedy Series.
Hulu acquired the U.S. rights to distribute the series in 2018, slowly distributing the seasons over the months following and becoming the first service to acquire an international show for future seasons after its run on its original network as they acquired the rights to its seventh season and any future seasons back in May 2019.

The mystery will continue. ABC has ordered six additional installments of Big Sky, the network’s Tuesday night procedural drama series. This brings the show’s first season tally to 16 episodes.
Based on a series of books by C.J. Box, the Big Sky TV series stars Katheryn Winnick, Kylie Bunbury, Brian Geraghty, Dedee Pfeiffer, Natalie Alyn Lind, Jade Pettyjohn, Jesse James Keitel, Valerie Mahaffey, John Carroll Lynch, and Ryan Phillippe. The story begins with Danielle Sullivan (Lind) and her sister Grace (Pettyjohn) on a road trip to visit Danielle’s boyfriend. The two are kidnapped by a truck driver on a remote part of a Montana highway. This sets off a chain of events that leads private detectives Cody Hoyt (Phillippe) and Cassie Dewell (Bunbury) to join forces with Jenny Hoyt (Winnick), Cody’s estranged wife and an ex-cop, to search for the sisters. When the trio discovers that these are not the only girls who have disappeared in the area, it becomes clear that they’ve stumbled onto something that’s much bigger than they could have imagined.
After three episodes, the first season of Big Sky averages a 0.70 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.24 million viewers. The show currently ranks fifth of 10 scripted series for ABC’s 2020-21 season, outperforming established dramas A Million Little Things, The Good Doctor, and For Life.
