I like to listen to various kinds of music. This cd is hard to put in a catagory. It is jazz with a little bit of soul sound but most of the songs were really interesting.
I had not heard of most of the artists and wouldnt have bought a cd or heard them in concert not knowing them. Although I might really like a performer, buying their cd leaves you with a few hits and a lot of misses.
All of their songs start to sound the same. Presenting various artists avoids that monotony. Ive bought some pretty bad cds lately and this was a pleasant surprise.
Wish more thugs listened to this. It would mellow them out.
This was awesome. There is a complexity of the added jazz riffs that make these solid basslines pop. It instantly became a favorite. I even like the way the songs are arranged so it flows effortlessly. Well worth the price I paid.
I really like this upbeat music. Definate buy if someone likes to dance while they drive.
You just have to like good music with a strong bass line to like this little gem. The music is top flight & played extremely well. You put this CD in your auto CD player- – -you will never take it out.
Each song blends into the next. I like that- – – but it is not exactly a mix. I find this CD very likable in so many ways. Every music lover who has gotten into my car has asked me “Hey- – -what is this- -I like it”.
It just moves along like molasses dripping off a picnic table in the first frost of the year…….I bet you cannot listen to this CD, and not just sway…….
Great music for a road trip. I look foward to my annual trip to Santa Barbara just to listen to these CD uninterrupted.
I took a chance and bought this CD based on the reviews; The reviewers have the same taste I do because this music is banging. It grew on me the more I listened to it.
I realized why “T.H.U.G. THEME” song sounded so good after seeing who pr oduced it—Patrice Rushen—my favorite jazz/R&B of all time. Everything she touches turns to gold and her involvement in the CD legitimized my belief in it as well.
“Hey Shorty” has a contagious horn section that you want to play loud in your backyard or at the gas station to let everyonelse hear it. Im an urban jazz kinda guy and this CD is on of the best compilations I have heard in 50 years of life.
Im buying 2 more for friends who ive turned on to it.

THUG JAZZ IS A GREAT CD. I THOROUGHLY ENJOY LISTENING TO IT. WHAT A GREAT MIX OF R&B AND SMOOTH JAZZ. I LOVE IT SO MUCH I’M RECOMMENDING IT TO ALL MY FRIENDS.
This is a must have to entertain that hard to please, I don’t listen to jazz hater. Watch their head nod to the beat with this c.d..
