Nancy Drew Season 2 Trailer Previews the Crew’s Newest Mystery

The CW has released the first-look trailer for the upcoming second season of their supernatural mystery series Nancy Drew, featuring Kennedy McMann’s titular teen detective along with friends as they must face yet another mystery. The series is scheduled to make its return on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. Check out the video in the player below!

In Season 1, Nancy Drew (Kennedy McMann) is a brilliant teenaged detective whose sense of self had come from solving mysteries in her hometown of Horseshoe Bay, Maine – until her mother’s untimely death derails Nancy’s college plans. Devastated by her mother’s passing, Nancy swears off crime-solving while crossing off the days until she can re-apply to college. But when a socialite is murdered, Nancy finds herself a prime suspect in the crime, along with a group of other teens present at the scene: Nancy’s nemesis from high school, George Fan (Leah Lewis); a rich girl with a mysterious past, Bess Marvin (Maddison Jaizani); Nancy’s secret boyfriend, Ned “Nick” Nickerson (Tunji Kasim), and amiable burnout Ace (Alex Saxon). The five of them must team up to clear their own names – encountering emotional entanglements and even more mysteries along the way.

Nancy’s reawakening brings her into conflict with her widowed father, Carson Drew (Scott Wolf), who is dating Detective Karen Hart (Alvina August). And, when a supernatural presence begins to haunt Nancy’s investigation, she discovers that the current crime has an astonishing connection to the unsolved murder of a local girl. Whether the ghost is here to help, or hinder Nancy remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure: Nancy’s going to have to unravel the clues from both the living and the dead to solve the crimes.

Nancy Drew also stars Leah Lewis (Charmed) as George, Tunji Kasim (Nearly Famous) as Nick, Alvina August (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) as Detective Karen Hunt, Maddison Jaizani (Versailles, Into the Badlands, Tyrant) as Bess and Alex Saxon (The Fix, The Fosters, Finding Carter) as Ace.

San Holo Releases Brand New Track, “bb u ok?”

A few months since his last EP, stay vibrant, San Holo is back with his newest emotionally charged single, “bb u ok?”

Featuring all the hallmarks of a wonderfully resplendent San track — pitched, modulated vocals, wonderful melodies, quaint guitar riffs, and more — this is almost like the Christmas-song version of his discography. It’s delightful and easy-listening enough for families to listen to sitting around the tree in the morning, but still unique enough that fans will absolutely adore this one.

While it’s nothing groundbreaking or outside the norm for San Holo, “bb u ok?” is easily one of his most calming tracks yet. Check it out on Spotify below or watch the visualizer!

Arturo Sandoval (November 6, 1949) is a Cuban American jazz trumpeter, pianist and composer.
Sandoval, was influenced by jazz musicians Charlie Parker, Clifford Brown, and Dizzy Gillespie with whom he toured regularly.
Sandoval has won ten Grammy Awards and has been nominated a Grammy nineteen times; he has also received six Billboard Awards and one Emmy Award. As a sideman he played on many albums, a.o. with Gloria Estefan, Frank Sinatra, Michel Legrand, Candy Dulfer, Tony Bennett, Dr.John, Johnny Mathis.
In August 2013 USA President Obama presented him the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Yellow – is a dimwitted and happy go lucky yellow colored caterpillar with an antenna.
Red – a mostly hot-tempered and greedy red colored caterpillar.

The critics haven’t always been super kind to Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker or Fifty Shades Freed. However, in general I’d say this has more to do with the plot of the films than the acting from Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, who have both gone on to more critically acclaimed things. Regardless, in a recent interview, Jamie Dornan revealed one particularly brutal review was all about his performance, though he says he doesn’t “entirely disagree.”

The Hold Steady have announced a new record: Open Door Policy is out February 19, 2021 via the band’s Positive Jams label and Thirty Tigers. The album was recorded at the Clubhouse in Rhinebeck, New York with producer Josh Kaufman and engineer D. James Goodwin. See the tracklist and cover art and listen to “Family Farm” below.

“Open Door Policy was very much approached as an album vs. a collection of individual songs, and it feels like our most musically expansive record,” frontman Craig Finn said in a statement. “This album was written and almost entirely recorded before the pandemic started, but the songs and stories explore power, wealth, mental health, technology, capitalism, consumerism, and survival–issues which have compounded in 2020.”
