En la estela de otros grandes del jazz flamenco, como Chano Domínguez, Dorantes o Marco Mezquida, el pianista Daniel García, natural de Salamanca y alumno del Berklee College de Boston, donde recibió el premio a la mejor interpretación del jazz en 2011, estå llevando esta modalidad del jazz, tan identificada con España, hacia nuevos horizontes.

Su calidad como compositor y su brillante ejecuciĂłn como intĂ©rprete no han pasado desapercibidos en Europa, y el prestigioso sello discogrĂĄfico alemĂĄn ACT ha editado su ĂĄlbum “Travesuras” que grabĂł con dos magnĂ­ficos mĂșsicos cubanos, Reinier “El NegrĂłn” al contrabajo y Michael Olivera a la baterĂ­a. En la primera visita del TrĂ­o a Jazz San Javier les aompañarĂĄ la extraordinaria violinista Maureen Choi.

In the wake of other greats of flamenco jazz, such as Chano DomĂ­nguez, Dorantes or Marco Mezquida, the pianist Daniel GarcĂ­a, a native of Salamanca and a student at Berklee College in Boston, where he received the award for the best jazz performance in 2011, is leading this modality of jazz, so identified with Spain, towards new horizons.

His quality as a composer and his brilliant performance as a performer have not gone unnoticed in Europe, and the prestigious German record label ACT has released his album “Travesuras” which he recorded with two magnificent Cuban musicians, Reinier “El NegrĂłn” on the double-bass and Michael Olivera on the drums. In this first visit to San Javier the Trio will be joined by the extraordinary violinist Maureen Choi.
