Neil Young has voluntarily dismissed his lawsuit against Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, as The New York TimesBen Sisario notes. Online records, viewed by Pitchfork, show that Young filed to dismiss his claims with prejudice today (December 7).

After years of objecting to Donald Trump’s use of his music, Neil Young formally sued the Trump campaign in August over its use of “Rockin’ in the Free World” and Greendale’s “Devil’s Sidewalk” at rallies and political events. Specifically, Young and his lawyers said the songs were used at Trump’s Tulsa rally without a license or permission.

Pitchfork has reached out to Neil Young’s lawyers and representatives, as well as an attorney for the Trump campaign, for comment and more information.
