Skateboards are considered contraband in Cuba. But since Russian soldiers pulled out in the 80’s leaving behind their decks, there has been a renegade culture of skaters who thrive. Supported by a charity group out of Miami who smuggles skateboards into the communist country to help inspire at-risk youth in a positive manner and to ultimately get skateboarding into acceptance and to open a skate park in Havana.
