Arbi Chaat
Preparation Time -5-6 Minutes
Cooking Time -5 -7 minutes
Serves -4
Ingredients :
Arbi/Taro Root -300 gms
Peanuts -1 small bowl
Refined Oil -2-3 tblspn
Carom Seeds -1 tspn
Chopped Green Chillies -2-3
Chopped Ginger -1 inch
Chopped Coriander leaves – 2 tblspn( optional)
Roasted Cumin Powder -1 tspn
Lemon Juice – Half a Lemon
Rock Salt ( Sendha Namak ) – According to taste
Method Of Cooking
Step -1
Boil the Arbi,peel and cut into round pieces.
Step -2
Heat the refined oil/groundnut oil and fry the peanuts. Keep it aside.
Step -3
In the same oil one by one add the carom seeds, chopped green chillies and the chopped ginger. Saute for a few seconds and add the arbi.
Step -4
Fry the arbi until it turns Crispy and golden brown in colour. Add the rock salt (Sendha Namak),and the roasted cumin powder. Mix well and cook it for another few seconds.
Step -5
Add the fried peanuts and mix it with the fried arbi. Add the lemon Juice and the chopped coriander leaves. Serve it as a snack / side dish on a vrat day/ whenever you want to munch on some spicy chaat.
