CRAB DU JOUR LAUNCHES IN MANCHESTER
Crab Du Jour Cajun Seafood Boil & Bar is thrilled to announce its long-awaited grand opening at the Shoppes at Buckland Hills Mall in Manchester, CT. The restaurant, whose lease was signed pre-COVID, marks the 70th location for the burgeoning hospitality and restaurant group. Manchester is the third restaurant in the Connecticut area, with two other locations at Connecticut Post Mall at 1201 Boston Post Road in Milford and a Crab Du Jour Xpress at 4086 Main Street in Bridgeport. In addition, two Crab Du Jour locations will be coming to Hartford and Hamden in the coming months.

The menu features a variety of seafood sold by the half-pound ($7.50-$14.50) or pound ($13.99-$28.99), then steamed via bags and presented tableside with seasonings of choice in three heat intensities with corn and potatoes. The seasoning options include Cajun, garlic butter, Old Bay, lemon pepper, and the âDu Jour,â which incorporates all the options. Supplemental add-ins include broccoli ($3.99), sausage by the half-pound ($5.99 or $9.99). In addition to the popular Cajun boils, the menu also boasts a variety of PoâBoys ($12.99-$14.99); burgers and sliders ($10.99-$13.99); soups ($6.99-$8.99) and salads ($5.99-$8.99). There are also appetizer options ranging from cheesesteak eggrolls ($8.99) to fried pickles ($5.99) and chicken wings ($10.99-$19.99) available in BBQ, Cajun, Buffalo, or lemon pepper. Kidâs menu offerings include chicken tenders, fried shrimp, chicken sliders, or fried flounder (all $6.99).

The 5,500 SQ. FT. restaurant has a seating capacity for about 160 diners with hours of operation Sunday through Thursday 11:30am to 10:00pm, and Friday and Saturday 11:30am to 11:00pm. Crab Du Jour features a selection of fun maritime-inspired cocktails ($10). Crab Claws is made with Titoâs Vodka, tequila, orange juice, and Grenadine; Mermaidâs Lemonade uses Rumhaven, Pink Lemonade, Blue Curacao; and the Blue Lagoon is made with Captain Morgan, Coconut Rum, Blue Curacao, pineapple, and orange juice. In addition, a variety of red and white wines are available by the glass and bottle, along with a selection of craft beer on draft, cans, and bottles.

Stephen Thompson & Tyron Woodley Set to Appear
Although the fourth season of Netflixâs hit series Cobra Kai hasnât been released yet, the fifth installment of the series is already in the works, with two major MMA fighters set to join the series in some capacity.

During a recent appearance on The MMA Hour, mixed martial artist and Ultimate Fighting Championship star Stephen Thompson revealed that both he and former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley would be featured in Cobra Kai Season 5, although he didnât speak too much on what their roles would entail.
âI chatted with [Woodley] not too long doing some Cobra Kai stuff. I canât really give too much away but we were there hanging out, and yeah, the beef has been squashed,â Thompson said. âSince then, heâs awesome and fun to hang out with while we were there. I didnât get to hang out with him a ton but while we were there on set.â
Thompson confirmed that it is an acting role and that it was a natural fit considering his background as a karateka. âIâm like known as the karate guy [in UFC], so everybody has been wondering, âHey, man. When are you going to do the Cobra Kai thing?â ⊠I canât really give too much away, but be looking out.â

Season 4 of Cobra Kai will most likely deal with the aftermath of the third seasonâs action-packed finale, where fans last saw Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso finally teaming up with each other in order to take down John Kreese at the All Valley Karate Tournament. However, as they formed their new alliance, it looks like Kreese has also enlisted his old friend to help him defeat Johnny and Daniel. The new season will also introduce new characters in the form of Dallas Dupree Young as Kenny and Oona OâBrien as Devon.
In Cobra Kai, Ralph Macchio and William Zabka revisit their star-making roles from the iconic film franchise, The Karate Kid. The epic adversaries return to the dojo, thirty years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament. A down-and-out Johnny Lawrence (Zabka) seeks redemption by reopening the infamous Cobra Kai karate dojo, reigniting his rivalry with a now-successful Daniel LaRusso (Macchio), who has been struggling to maintain balance in his life without the guidance of his mentor, Mr. Miyagi.

Charli XCXâs scheduled performance with Caroline Polachek and Christine and the Queens on Saturday Night Live this week (December 18) has been canceled. The show announced earlier today that due to a recent spike in COVID-19 cases, there would be no live audience for the show and limited cast and crew in the studio, which led to the cancelation of the performance. The trio first announced the performance yesterday on social media. Paul Rudd is still scheduled to host.Â
The three artists released âNew Shapesâ together last month. Drummer Luis Aponte was meant to join them for the SNL appearance, having caught her attention with a video of him performing at a festival in Pennsylvania over the summer. Aponte usually plays with the Philadelphia hardcore band Jesus Piece, whose most recent album is their 2018 debut Only Self.Â
Charli released âGood Onesâ in September, following it with a Perfume Genius remix earlier this month. She followed that with âNew Shapesâ in November. Her next album, Crash, is out in March, and sheâll begin an extensive North American and European tour in California at the end of the same month.
