EMERIL LAGASSE ANNOUNCES THE REOPENING OF EMERIL’S RESTAURANT

Chef Emeril Lagasse and Emeril’s Homebase are excited to announce the reopening of Emeril’s restaurant in New Orleans on August 31, 2021 for dinner service. The restaurant has
been closed since March of 2020. “We are excited to reopen our doors at Emeril’s and return to doing what we love,” Lagasse explained. “The passion and love for our craft and our customers that guided my team and me 31 years ago remain the same.
We are committed to hospitality and to creating life-enriching experiences for our employees and our guests in this great city of New Orleans.” Emeril’s originally opened in 1990 and was Lagasse’s first owned and operated restaurant. The restaurant has earned many accolades throughout its long tenure, including garnering Wine Spectator’s “Grand Award” for 20 consecutive years and being recognized by the James Beard Foundation for outstanding service, wine service, and Lagasse as Best Chef: Southeast. Details of the menu and hours of operation have not yet been announced.
“We are continuing to refine and enhance the great food and service that have been the cornerstone of
Emeril’s. This has been an opportunity to work closely with our purveyors, and craft a menu inspired by the bounty and traditions of South Louisiana and influenced by our international cultural experiences.” Lagasse added, “We also aim to create an environment that attracts and cultivates talent from across our industry. We elieve that as a team we can have fun, work hard, enrich our lives by being of service to others, and each day strive to perfect our craft.”
Emeril’s is seeking qualified applicants for all front-of-house and back-of-house positions. Interested individuals should visit emerilsrestaurants.com/employment or email emerils.employment@emerillagasse.com with a resume. Candidates can also stop by Emeril’s in person, Monday through Thursday, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., to complete an application.
Emeril’s will be the eighth restaurant from the group to resume operations. Meril and Emeril’s Table in New Orleans; Emeril’s New Orleans Fish House and Delmonico Steakhouse in Las Vegas; Emeril’s Chop House and Burgers And More by Emeril in Bethlehem, PA; and Emeril’s Coastal in Miramar Beach, FL are all currently open.
Emeril’s is located at 800 Tchoupitoulas Street. The restaurant will open for dinner service beginning

THE NEXT MRS. RUSSO by JANA ASTON
‘He stares at me for a long moment, studying me as if he finds me fascinating, or crazy. Hard to tell. Finally, he speaks.’ “Don’t fall in love with me. I’m not in the mood.”
If there’s something we’re sure of when we pick up a Jana Aston book, it’s that we’re going to be entertained. We know we’ll laugh, swoon, and be captivated by the characters, because every hero this author writes has off the charts swoon factor, and every heroine has a warm and friendly vibe that draws us to them again and again. And then there’s the heat factor! WOW!
‘He is so into my particular brand of crazy. I don’t know why, but fuck it, I don’t know why I find his stupid press conferences sexy either. Sometimes you just get lucky in reciprocated lust.’
We couldn’t wait to dive into The Next Mrs. Russo. We were in the mood for a rom-com and this book did exactly what it said on the tin. Jana Aston has some of the best comedic timing we’ve read. She seamlessly weaves the emotional, the passionate, and the funny without missing a beat, and we adored this book! When you’re feeling a bit down, this is the book you’ll want to pick up!
‘If this was a real date, he’d be getting a fake phone call about now. I wouldn’t because I still want to make out with him even if it appears we have absolutely nothing in common.’
Twenty-seven-year-old Audrey Gibson has fled her past (what is the secret she’s keeping?) starting a vintage clothing boutique from her newly inherited brownstone in Albany with her cat Gary and her (where did he come from!) assistant Miller. The banter between these two will have you in fits!
Audrey has been crushing on Albany’s Governor (or GILF as Audrey likes to call him)– so imagine her shock when his mother sets them up on a fake date! Audrey has no filter, Warren is measured and composed. A forty-year-old divorcee with a teenage daughter, Warren Russo is seen as aloof and stern, so his mother and campaign manager think a girlfriend will make him softer to his constituents. Audrey just wants her plumbing sorted. In more ways than one, and she wouldn’t mind trying out some of those naughty thoughts she’s been having about the charismatic Governor.
‘We all have our fetishes, Warren governing things is mine. Just yesterday he had a press conference that was sexy as hell.’
A fake dating, age-gap romance between a gruff handsome Governor (or should we say Guv’nor) of the State of New York, and a scatty, sweet vintage clothing designer endeared us from the get-go! The banter was spot on. Warren’s dog Duke stole our hearts, Gary the cat was one amusing arsehole, and Andrey’s ‘non-assistant, the cheeky teenaged Miller, Oh Em Gee…he was a joy and stole the show! Their work/friendship was so much fun!
‘He’s the kind of dog who looks like he could, in the case of an emergency, single-headedly paw the fire alarm, evacuate an entire building and grab a blanket on the way out the door to keep everyone warm while waiting on help to arrive.’
Sweet, sexy, quirky, and delightfully funny. If you want to put a smile on your face, GRAB THIS BOOK! The epilogue was swooooon! Be still our romantic hearts! We just want to send a message to Jana Aston, and that is…Miller needs a book, and Warren’s hot Hollywood brother, James needs a book also! Please give us more Jana…pretty please with sandpaper on top…or is that sugar on top?
Jackass 4’s Johnny Knoxville Touches On Bad Blood With Bam Margera After He Was Not Asked Back For Sequel

In reference to why Bam Margera was even kicked off of Jackass 4 in the first place, all signs point towards a relapse that violated his contract for the upcoming Paramount sequel. Because a condition of his participation was to maintain sobriety, Margera’s failure to do so caused him to be removed from the movie he was fighting to stay a part of. Which brings us to Johnny Knoxville’s reaction to this scenario, which seems to allude to those contractual obligations, while he also speaks in a caring manner towards his colleague.
Basilica SoundScape 2021 Announced: Moor Mother, William Basinski, More
Basilica SoundScape 2021 has been announced. The festival will take place this year at the PS21 Performance Spaces for the 21st Century in Chatham, New York on September 17-18. The initial lineup announcement reveals that Moor Mother, William Basinski, Circuit Des Yeux, and Tomberlin will perform.
Basilica SoundScape is programmed by Basilica Hudson founders and creative directors Melissa Auf der Maur and Tony Stone. It’s done in collaboration with former Pitchfork editor and current The Creative Independent editor-in-chief Brandon Stosuy, as well as former Pitchfork Creative Director Mike Renaud.
“Due to COVID, there were no live shows for more than a year,” Stosuy said in a statement. “I was hoping people would take that time off to rethink how live music works, but as shows have returned, it’s mostly felt like business as usual. For our part, we thought it felt like a good time to tear the idea of a festival apart and put it back together again—and set it in an apple orchard.”
