Can Robyn stay one step ahead of the law while helping those in need in the first season of The Equalizer TV show on CBS? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like The Equalizer is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we invite you to rate all of the first season episodes of The Equalizer here.

A CBS action crime series, The Equalizer TV show stars Queen Latifah, Chris Noth, Lorraine Toussaint, Tory Kittles, Liza Lapira, Adam Goldberg, and Laya DeLeon Hayes. The story follows Robyn McCall (Latifa), an enigmatic woman with a mysterious background. She uses her extensive skills as a former CIA operative to help those with nowhere else to turn. To most, Robyn appears to be just an average single mom who is quietly raising her daughter (Hayes) and living with her aunt (Toussaint). However, to a trusted few, Robyn is The Equalizer, an anonymous guardian angel and defender of the downtrodden, who’s also dogged in her pursuit of personal redemption. Joining Robyn as champions of justice her former CIA handler (Noth), an edgy bar owner and past colleague (Lapira), and a paranoid and brilliant white-hat hacker (Goldberg). As Robyn aids the oppressed and exploited, her work garners the attention of a shrewd NYPD Detective (Kittles) who doggedly seeks to uncover the identity of the vigilante known as “The Equalizer”.

The LEGO Batman Movie Director Chris McKay Helms The Tomorrow War

The man who drafted these exciting talents into heroes of the future is Chris McKay, who, for such a high-dollar and high-concept project, is only making his second live-action, feature-length directorial effort with The Tomorrow War. However, the man has been keeping busy, and to much success, in between that time, mostly in animation.

Chris McKay is one of the Emmy-winning producers of Robot Chicken and other Adult Swim hits, a leading animator on The LEGO Movie (also starring Chris Pratt), and director of its DC-centric spin-off, The LEGO Batman Movie, from 2017. The success of the latter earned him the job helming the Nightwing solo movie, which has since shelved, making room to return to live action filming with The Tomorrow War instead for the first time since his 2002 debut, 2wks, 1yr.

Wolf Alice singer Ellie Rowsell has shared a story of her own experience meeting Marilyn Manson while tweeting out her solidarity with the shock rocker’s ex-girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood. “I met Marilyn backstage at a festival a few years ago. After his compliments towards my band became more and more hyperbolic I became suspicious of his behaviour,” her post reads. “I was shocked to look down and see he was filming up my skirt with a GoPro.”

Rowsell continues: “There were no repercussions for his behaviour, his tour manager simply said ‘he does this kind of thing all the time.’ If he does this kind of thing all the time why on earth has he been headlining festivals for so many years? When will we stop enabling misogynists on the account of their success? Women must feel safe in the male dominated world that is the music industry.”

Evan Rachel Wood’s allegations of grooming and abuse by Manson earlier this month were followed by additional allegations of varied misconduct made by multiple women. Manson was subsequently dropped by his record label, touring agency, and longtime manager.

On February 1, Jenna Jameson told the Daily Mail that the singer had “fantasized about burning [her] alive” when they dated in 1997. Ex-wife Dita Von Teese, who divorced Manson after a one-year marriage in 2006 “due to infidelity and drug abuse,” stated on February 4 that “the details made public do not match my personal experience during our 7 years together as a couple.” That same day, Phoebe Bridgers also said the singer once referred to a room in his house as the “r*pe room,” before writing: “The label knew, management knew, the band knew. Distancing themselves now, pretending to be shocked and horrified is fucking pathetic.”

I never get enough of this classy singer’s music. She left us to early but Teena Marie’s music will always be timeless! Named at birth as “Mary Christine Brockert”, Teena came roaring into the 70s soul music world like fireworks. Music critics refer to Teena as the “Ivory Queen of Soul”! Teena’s music career and discography is massive and spans over 3 decades. Everyone knows of her music collaboration with R&B singer Rick James in the early stages of her career. When she went solo, her debut album, “Wild and Peaceful”, was released in 1979 and gave Teena her first R&B top ten hit with the song “I’m A Sucker for Your Love”. Between 1979 and 1994, she produced ten albums and then decided to take a break to spend time with her daughter, Alia Rose. Teena is responsible for a famous court decision titled “Brockert Initiative” which makes it illegal for a record company to keep an artist under contract without releasing new material by the artist. Teena returned to recording and producing music in 2004 with the release of her album, “La Dona”! And just to prove to non-believers as to whether she still had it…she followed up with a few more successful projects: “Sapphire”; “Congo Square”; and “Beautiful”, which was the last project Teena Marie released before her death December 26, 2010. The Harvard Jazz Band Visits Cuba

Appreciating Cuban music – its vast diversity, and how deeply sewn into the social and political fabric of the country it is – was at the heart of the Jazz Band’s historic trip. The fast-paced, 8-day musical adventure marked the group’s first tour in 25 years, and Terry, a saxophonist and chekeré player who joined Harvard’s faculty in 2015, organized an itinerary to not only showcase Cuba’s musical vibrancy, but also illuminate recent efforts to rescue and preserve many of the age-old traditions.

Music scholarship framed every day’s activities for the band, which passed traditional Havana tourist sites such as Revolution Square and the Capitol building with only glancing views. Instead, Terry took students to hear performances from the likes of Orquesta Tipica Miguel Failde in Matanzas, the birthplace of music and dance traditions called rumba and danzón, respectively.
