Jamz Supernova’s label Future Bounce this year turns it’s hand to the club, with a year long series of club releases which will culminate in a compilation! Picking artists whoâs productions have been a staple in Jamz’ DJ sets, each month will see an original, exclusive two track drop. Ranging from well known underground producers to those yet to have their moment, focusing on the UK & beyond!
The seventh release comes from Broken Beat/BRUK producer WheelUP. 2020 has seen the producer become a main artist on the legendary label Tru Thoughts with a series of EPâs which have been supported heavily by Jamz on the radio. The Future Bounce club series is a showcase of all facets of club music that Jamz enjoys. WheelUP brings that much needed Broken Beat/BRUK touch adding texture and variety to the series. The Broken Beat scene can often be overlooked but was a massive stepping stone & foundation for the UK Club music we listen to now. As Jazz continues to flourish in both live & club settings it has allowed space for Broken Beat to be revered again & WheelUP is at the forefront of that.
About WheelUP:
Growing up inside the epicentre of BRUK, Danny has been studio neighbours with some of the key players in the game including IG Culture, Bugz in the Attic, Henry Wu and Goya Music (the leading vinyl distributor of bruk music). Originating from the drum and bass world, Danny turned his hand to the burgeoning sound of West Londonâs resurgent scene, Danny Wheeler was knighted the name âWheelUPâ by non-other than Afronaut, the founder of âBugz in the Atticâ and a pioneer of the broken beat genre, who has cited WheelUP as âthe best thing to come out of the broken beat scene right now!âÂ
