Disney+ Unveils Teaser for Rogue One Spinoff Andor!

Disney+ dropped a teaser trailer to its upcoming Star Wars: Rogue One spinoff, Andor, which will follow the adventures of rebel spy Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) during the formative years of the Rebellion and prior to the events of Rogue One. The spy thriller series will explore tales of espionage and daring missions to restore hope to a galaxy in the grip of a ruthless Empire. Check out the trailer below!

The 12-episode series is set five years before the events of Rogue One and is described as a “tense nail-biting spy thriller.”

The cast for the series is set to feature the returns of Luna, Genevieve O’Reilly, Denise Gough, Stellan Skarsgård, Kyle Soller, and Adria Arjona, with Alan Tudyk expected to return as Cassian’s droid sidekick K-2SO. While character details for Gough and Arjona’s roles are currently being kept under wraps, O’Reilly is set to return to her role of Republic senator and co-founder and leader of the Rebel Alliance Mon Mothma after first appearing in Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith in a non-speaking role and then a more prominent supporting turn in Rogue One. She was also voiced by O’Reilly in Star Wars Rebels and Kath Soucie in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

The Cassian Andor will be executive produced by Tony Gilroy, who previously directed the reshoots for Rogue One. Gilroy was originally expected to direct the three episodes but was forced to give up the position to Black Mirror’s Toby Haynes due to pandemic-related travel issues. However, he will still remain as the series’ showrunner and executive producer.

In Rogue One, a group of unlikely heroes bands together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.

Luna starred alongside Felicity Jones in the film with Mads Mikkelsen, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Riz Ahmed, plus Forest Whitaker and Ben Mendelsohn. It remains to be seen if any of these characters will appear in the series.

Production on the series started less than three weeks ago in London. Andor will debut on Disney+ in 2022.

What can I say I LOVED the music.
Yes, some of the performers on this CD have passed away, but their music is wonderful. You can relax and enjoy Christmas with this music. Good music for dinner time or while reading a book.
While the music in this CD is beautiful, the one thing Amazon forgot to mention is the fact that it is not a REAL CD but a CD-R. Some customers maybe dont mind that it is a CD-R, however, not all of them would be happy about this fact.
This info is not disclosed or mentioned in the item description by Amazon. I am not sure if only my copy is a CD-R since I got mine from a third party seller (import cds in CA), not from Amazon directly.
My copy is a CD-R, not a real aluminum CD as usually when we buy it from a music retailer. I wonder whether those artists featured in the CD list had been paid (their royalties)?
While mainly background music for cooking Christmas dinner, there are a few tracks on this disc which make one stop and listen. This CD contains probably the best arrangement of “Angels We Have Heard on High” Ive heard to date.
Scaggiari and his Trio do a wonderful job. There are some vocal tracks which are probably a bit typical, but its Christmas. And the late Susannah McCorkle shines on her track.
Of the two Concord Christmas albums, this is the better.
I recommend this to anyone that likes smooth jazz and wants mood music for Christmas gatherings. Combined with other smooth jazz Christmas CDs on shuffle, they make Christmas parties seem more festive.
An absolute must have for any music fan, not just a jazz fan. Great collection of Christmas standards. Great seller! Am a repeat customer. Five stars all the way!
Good mix of smooth jazz with some good jumping numbers. Eden Atwood’s Let it snow is no less than 5 stars in my book.
This impressive cast of musicians and artists from the stables of Concord Jazz perform selections for your Holiday Season—trying to come up with something original at this time of year is somewhat difficult—so our friends from Concord did something that many other labels wish they could do…take every individual that records under their banner and let them pick their favorite Christmas Carol or Song and do their own thing—thus we have an outstanding inspirational album, full of love and giving.
Concords lineup begins with “CHRISTMAS TIME IS HERE”(Rosemary Clooney), what better tune and artist to implify the spirit of the year—“ILL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS”(Gene Harris), one of my all-time favorite songs, performed by my all-time favorite blues pianist—“THE SECRET OF CHRISTMAS”(Susannah McCorkle), beautiful melody and lyrics sung by a beautiful person—“CHRISTMAS LOVE SONG”(Scott Hamilton/Al Plank), deliver a smooth velvety sound, in front of a warm fireplace—“THE CHRISTMAS WALTZ”(Rob McConnell Trio), the sound of Big Band will live on forever—“WHAT ARE YOU DOING CHRISTMAS EVE?”(Carol Sloane), love this girl, makes you wish Christmas could go on and never stop, what a warm and glowing feeling suddenly comes over you.
If you enjoyed this album, you might try “A Concord Christmas Vol. 2”, worthy of a joyous Holiday Season listen. Total Time: 64:23 on 17 Tracks ~ Concord Jazz CCD-4613 ~ (1991/1994)
This CD is a compilation of Concord Records great recording artists. I especially bought this one because it had Jeannie Cheathams Christmas song “An Apple, An Orange and a Little Stick Doll”.
Some country star like Lee Ann Rhimes or Shania Twain or Carrie Underwood should cover this song for their Christmas CD. Its beautiful.

The Prom Cast: Where You’ve Seen The Netflix Movie Stars Before

It is not too much of stretch to imagine Meryl Streep and her pal Nicole Kidman starring in a new, old-fashioned musical, yet seeing Keegan-Michael Key in the ensemble is unexpected – but welcome, nonetheless. However, those women are not the only veterans to the genre and the comedian is far from the last surprise in The Prom cast.

Directed by Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy, the film is based on a Tony-nominated hit stage show of the same name that was actually inspired by a heartwarming true story. It focuses on an Indiana teenager whose plea to take her girlfriend to the annual school dance convinces the conservative school board to cancel the event entirely. Upon hearing the news, a quartet of theater actors suffering from their own personal crises decide to give the lonely student a chance to be herself by organizing their own prom.

"Cast Your Fate to the Wind" a solo piano lesson

1

Cast Your Fate to the Wind was composed by Vince Guaraldi and is a jazz standard worth studying not only for understanding the poly-rhythmic five over four pattern but also as piece to refine your arranging skills. This piano lesson is about arranging melodic fills using quarter note triplet for jazz standard repertoire pieces. I decided to use latin tinged quarter note triplets so as to stamp my own arrangement for teaching purpose .of how to use a latin montuno in the left hand as a melodic fill for one or two bars during the turnaround measures. The Cuban montuno as a melodic fill is demonstrated by accenting beat four as well as the eighth note that comes after beat four commonly known as “and” of beat 4. Most arrangers of this jazz standard will play full chords on beats one and three in a quarter note fashion instead of using two groups of quarter note triplets.
