The Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania Disney+ release date is set for next month.

Disney announced today that the latest Marvel Studios movie will arrive on Disney+ on May 17. The Marvel Cinematic Universe movie kicked off Phase 5 and introduced Jonathan Majors’ villainous Kang the Conqueror to many fans. The movie also recently received 4K and Blu-ray release details, as well.

“Super Heroes Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and The Wasp. Together, with Hope’s parents Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and Scott’s daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought possible.”

The cast featured Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly as they reprised the roles of Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne, respectively, while Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer returned as Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne. The Ant-Man sequel also introduced Kathryn Newton (The Society, Freaky) as Cassie Lang. Lovecraft Country star Jonathan Majors plays Marvel villain Kang the Conqueror, while Ghostbusters star Bill Murray appears as Lord Krylar.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania was once again directed by Peyton Reed from a screenplay written by Jeff Loveness.

Jonny Greenwood and Dudu Tassa have shared a live performance video for their new song “Ya Mughir al-Ghazala,” featuring Iraqi vocalist Karrar Alsaadi. The song appears on Greenwood and Tassa’s forthcoming LP, Jarak Qaribak, which is due out June 9 via World Circuit. Find the performance below.

For the new performance video, Greenwood played bass, guitar, and a drum machine, and Tassa contributed vocals, guitar, and bass. Also featured are Ariel Qassis on qanun, Yaniv Taichman on oud, Ben Dagovitch on riq, Oded Aloni on darbuka, Sefi Zisling on cornet, Yuval Peleg on trumpet, and Maayan Milo on trombone; and Tamar Shawki, Ariel Qassis, Dema Kablan, and Jameel Faris provide backing vocals.

Of the song and video, Dudu said in a statement:

This song originates from Yemen, my father’s country of origin, and Kiri (Karrar) is from Baghdad, my mother’s hometown. I met Kiri in Vienna and all I could think about was how much beauty, culture, and humanity we miss while we are busy stressing differences, borders, and limitations. That’s how, together with Jonny, the idea for this whole album started to take shape, through the notion of crossing borders, and looking for connections rather than differences.

Greenwood and Tassa announced their album with the song “Ashufak Shay,” featuring vocals from Lebanese singer Rashid Al Najjar. Tassa and Greenwood are set to perform at Pitchfork Music Festival London on Friday, November 10, 2023.

White Men Can’t Jump Remake Trailer & Poster for Hulu Movie

After previously releasing a first look video, the first White Men Can’t Jump remake trailer starring rapper Jack Harlow has been released alongside its official poster.

This two-and-a-half-minute video comes ahead of its May 19 release date on Hulu. Alongside the “Tyler Herro” rapper, the movie stars Sinqua Walls, Lance Reddick, Teyana Taylor, Laura Harrier, and Vince Staples.

“White Men Can’t Jump is a modern retelling of the iconic 1992 film that celebrates the streetball hustling culture of Los Angeles,” says the synopsis. “Sinqua Walls stars as Kamal, once a promising player who derailed his future in the sport, and multi-platinum rap superstar Jack Harlow makes his movie debut as Jeremy, a former star of the game whose injuries stalled his own career. Juggling tenuous relationships, financial pressures and serious internal struggles, the two ballers—opposites who are seemingly miles apart—find they might have more in common than they imagined possible.”

The White Men Can’t Jump remake is directed by Calmatic, who came to fame when he directed the hit 2019 song “Old Town Road” for Lil Nas X and also recently directed the panned House Party remake. Kenya Barris and Doug Hall wrote the script for the film, with Barris and his Khalabo Ink Society banner producing. Blake Griffin, Ryan Kalil, and Noah Weinstein are also executive producing the film.
