Dead City Trailer Released for Maggie & Negan Spin-off

AMC has released The Walking Dead: Dead City trailer for the upcoming The Walking Dead spin-off series centered around Maggie and Negan. It will premiere on Sunday, June 18, at 10:00 p.m. ET on AMC and AMC+, with subsequent episodes airing at 9:00 p.m. ET. The two-minute video features the song “Gimme Danger” performed by Iggy & The Stooges.

“The Walking Dead: Dead City follows the popular Maggie (Cohan) and Negan (Morgan) characters traveling into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, long ago cut off from the mainland,” says the official description. “The crumbling city is filled with the dead and denizens who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror.”

The Walking Dead: Dead City stars Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The spin-off finds the unlikely pair of Maggie and Negan navigating a post-apocalyptic Manhattan long ago cut off from the mainland. It comes after the original series finished its 11-season run over the course of 177 episodes.

The series (formerly titled Isle of the Dead) is created and executive produced by Eli Jorné, who also serves as the showrunner. Executive producers are Cohan, Morgan, and Scott M. Gimple.

Janelle Monáe has announced The Age of Pleasure, her first new album since 2018’s Dirty Computer. The new LP opens with “Float” and also includes a new song called “Lipstick Lover.” Monáe co-directed the music video for her new song with Alan Ferguson. Watch it below.

The Age of Pleasure is out June 9. “All the songs were written from such an honest space,” Monáe said of her new record in an interview Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1. “So I hope that people feel that when they listen to the music, that they feel that when they come and, you know, counter with me when I’m around, I definitely have had an opportunity to evolve and grow and to tap into the things that bring me pleasure, the things that perhaps I should rethink and rework.”

If it’s not obvious I moved out of my apartment 🥺. With this being the last video in this apartment, I wanted to play some of my favorite songs from previous playlists. I had fun making this video because I got a chance to reminisce on all the experiences I had while making these playlists for over a year now. Music has always been one of the most important things in my life. Getting to share my passion with everyone on this channel has been amazing. Not only that but getting to do it in my apartment- my safe space has been special. When I uploaded my first video, I don’t know what I was expecting but it wasn’t this. I’m thankful and excited for what’s next.

Secret Invasion Episode Count & Length Revealed for Disney+ MCU Series

The Secret Invasion episode count and length have been revealed for the Marvel Cinematic Universe television series.

How many episodes are in Secret Invasion

According to Empire Magazine, Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ series Secret Invasion will consist of six hour-long episodes. The espionage thriller miniseries’ runtime and episode length is similar to previous shows, including The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Hawkeye. It will be available for streaming on June 21, which serves as the first series in Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Secret Invasion is led by MCU mainstay Samuel L. Jackson reprising his role as Nick Fury. He will be teaming up with Captain Marvel‘s Ben Mendelsohn, who is returning as the pseudo-leader of the Skrulls, Talos. This marks Nick Fury’s first solo project in the MCU after 15 years of playing the former SHIELD director.

Joining them are MCU newcomers Kingsley Ben-Adir as the antagonist Gravik, Oscar winner Olivia Colman as MI6 agent Sonya Falsworth, Emilia Clarke as Talos’ now-adult daughter G’iah, Dermot Mulrone, Killian Scott, Christopher McDonald, and Carmen Ejogo. It will also feature MCU vets Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, and Don Cheadle as Rhodey.

Based on Brian Michael Bendis, Leinil Francis Yu, Mark Morales, and Laura Martin’s comic book series, Secret Invasion is executive produced by Kyle Bradstreet, with Let Him Go director Thomas Bezucha and Ali Selim set as directors.
