Tulum’s Unofficial Burning Man-Style Event Became A COVID Super Spreader

0

Event promoters around the world have been discouraged from throwing shows without proper precautions as they could become COVID super spreaders. However, organizers of Art With Me, a four-day festival in Tulum, Mexico, went ahead anyway and has become a super spreader just as health experts warned.

The event was held November 11-15 in Tulum, a popular vacation destination even (and maybe especially) during COVID for influencers and wealthy individuals to escape the restrictions of the US. Unfortunately, the event which describes itself as “a community-driven festival that combines art, music, workshops, wellness and cultural experiences” forgot about the wellness part.

According to various sources, upwards of dozens of people have contracted COVID following the festival.

Be Svendsen, a Danish DJ who performed a cenote set during Art With Me, claims he got COVID following the fest, he told Daily Beast, “and that he ‘heard of at least 17 other people’ who also came down with COVID after attending festival parties.”

Art With Me partnered with 21 local hotels for the four days, endangering even those who weren’t there for event with their recklessness.

Svendsen says the blame shouldn’t be placed solely on this one event when Tulum in general isn’t closely following health guidelines.

“I don’t think it makes sense to point out a single small gathering, while a whole town full of people was, and still is, partying without masks and clearly not worrying or being careful in the slightest,” Svendsen, who travels all over the globe DJing, told Daily Beast. “Art With Me and Tulum in general should be the story.”

As long as events like Art With Me and ReUnite in the US continue to flaunt health guidelines and endanger others, the eventual return of EDM events and the trust of local officials becomes more and more dubious.

‘2 DELICIOUS VEGETARIAN RECIPES’ | Banana flower sabzi | Enchorer torkari | MUST WATCH!

1

Hello friends!! I am Reba, your home chef from Reba’s Kitchen.

Today I have brought to you two amazingly tasty vegetarian recipes. One of the splendid recipes is ‘Banana flower sabzi’ or ‘Niramish mochar ghanto’. This is an extremely tasty and healthy recipe. Mochar ghanto is a famous Bengali vegetarian recipe, but I have added my healthy twist to the recipe. Banana flower or banana blossom is an extremely healthy vegetable. The recipe is very easy to follow and make, so even novice cooks can try it out. Even people on a diet can enjoy this dish. The second recipe is ‘Enchorer torkari’ or ‘कटहल की सब्ज़ी’ which is extremely healthy and tasty. Jackfruit is very nutritious in both its raw and ripe stages. When it is young and green it is filled with iron, calcium, and fibre. It is often also known as vegetarian meat in many parts of India. It is very delicious and I am sure that if you follow this recipe, you will fall in love with it. The recipe is very easy to follow and make, so even novice cooks can try it out. Anybody on a diet can also try it. Do absolutely try these recipes at home as I can guaranty that you and your family and friends will love it for sure.

So don’t wait up…try it as soon as possible!! All my best wishes are with you always. And don’t forget to let me know how you like it in the comments section below. The Great Christmas Light Fight: Season Eight Ratings – canceled + renewed TV shows

The Great Christmas Light Fight TV show on ABC: season 8 ratings

(ABC/Eric McCandless)

It’s nearing the end of another year and, like clockwork, ABC has launched a new season of The Great Christmas Light Fight. Though it’s a seasonal staple, the ratings have never been very good. Will The Great Christmas Light Fight be cancelled or renewed for season nine? Stay tuned.

The Great Christmas Light Fight follows two judges — lifestyle expert Carter Oosterhouse and interior designer Taniya Nayak — as they assess the creativity and decorating skills of everyday people (albeit ones with an abundance of holiday cheer). Over the course of six episodes (shot in 2019), the duo considers those homes with occupants who take yuletide adornment to a whole new level. In the end, the winners are awarded a cash prize and the coveted “Light Fight” trophy.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

12/10 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.

Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.

For comparisons: Season seven of The Great Christmas Light Fight on ABC averaged a 0.67 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.63 million viewers.

Note: These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

What do you think? Do you like The Great Christmas Light Fight TV series on ABC? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a ninth season?

Dionne Warwick And Chance The Rapper Will Collaborate For Charity Single | Music

0

Now that Chance the Rapper and the legendary Dionne Warwick have bonded on Twitter, they are taking their newfound friendship offline and into a collaboration.

Dionne Warwick’s son Damon Elliott, who is a record producer and her manager, said in a press release, “They had such an amazing conversation that led to them discussing the Hunger Not Impossible initiative — they’ll receive portions of proceeds from her upcoming 80th birthday/holiday celebration which will be streamed live on Saturday, Dec. 12 at 7 pm EST.”

He also added, “The result of our conversation with Chance is this new single we’ll be recording soon and we’re all looking forward to this collaboration.”

Ms. Warwick stated, “We’re trying to make this something that will permeate the entire Earth, so that there are no more hungry people everywhere or anywhere.”

In case you missed it, on Dec. 5, Warwick found herself trending on after asking Chance The Rapper a straightforward question.

“Hi, @chancetherapper,” the Grammy-award winning artist tweeted. “If you are very obviously a rapper why did you put it in your stage name? I cannot stop thinking about this.”

A startled Chance responded: “Sorry I’m still freaking out that [you] know who I am. This is amazing!”

Upon recovering, the award-winning rapper answered the veteran singer’s question. “I will be whatever you wanna call me Ms Warwick. God bless you,” he tweeted with two blue heart emojis.

That exchange is what led to the upcoming collaboration, which is clearly going to be epic.

Nobody reveals the story of a man named Hutch (Odenkirk) who’s, well, a nobody. Thieves break into his house, and he can’t even muster the courage to attack them, which makes him even more of a nobody in the eyes of his family, and the world. That is until circumstances force Hutch to return to a life he thought he’d left behind. It doesn’t look like he loses a dog in the process. But as you’ve seen above, he kicks a lot of ass to protect the ones he loves, and he looks good doing it.
