Megan Thee Stallion Reveals the Opposing Advice From Beyoncé and Jay-Z
For Megan Thee Stallion, Beyoncé has gone from what she calls “the standard” to someone she’s actually on speaking terms with.Â
The two Texas natives are no strangers today, but years ago BeyoncĂ© was a superstar while Megan was just a youngster. “I remember the first time I ever saw Destiny’s Child in concert,” the “Body” rapper recalled to Stephen Colbert on Wednesday, Dec. 10. “I remember being a little kid like, ‘Wow, I wanna do this one day.'”
That day has finally come for the 25-year-old breakout star, who was recognized with four first-time Grammy nominations this yearâthree of which are for her April remix of “Savage” with none other than BeyoncĂ©.Â
“Just being from Houston, you have to know what BeyoncĂ© just means to us,” she told Colbert. “She’s like the standard, so being able to just speak to BeyoncĂ© now, I’m like, girl, pat on the back because this is great.”

Taylor Swift to Release New Album Evermore Tonight
Taylor Swift did it again. After surprise releasing folklore with little notice in July, on Thursday morning, the singer-songwriter announced that a second album, Evermore, is on the way and will drop at midnight on Friday (Dec. 11). Swift described it as a âsister recordâ to folklore.
âTo put it plainly, we just couldnât stop writing songs,â Swift said in a statement posted on her social media platforms.
Continuing, Swift explained, âIâve never done this before. In the past Iâve always treated albums as one-off eras and moved onto planning the next one after an album was released. There was something different with folklore. In making it, I felt less like I was departing and more like I was returning. I loved the escapism I found in these imaginary/not imaginary tales.â
She concluded by saying, âAnd I loved creating these songs with Aaron Dessner, Jack Antonoff, WB, and Justin Vernon. Weâve also welcomed some new (and longtime) friends to our musical kitchen table this time aroundâŠâ
The 15-song album will feature special guests including Haim, Bon Iver and The National.
