Sylvester Stallone Reveals To Fans Why He’s Very Thankful For Rocky During This Holiday Season

0

Why is Sylvester Stallone thankful for Rocky, more than four decades later? Part of the love, and the allure, rests in the character’s time-tested ability to keep appealing to fans. Most importantly to Stallone, though, is that he believes Rocky Balboa best represents himself, the actor, as a human. Rocky is a personal creation of Stallone’s, so their mission statements remain forever intertwined. It’s not like Sean Connery with James Bond. The 007 agent was a creation of Ian Fleming, and Connery just inherited the role. Stallone made Rocky. Rocky made Stallone. They basically don’t exist without one another, and Stallone recognizes that. It’s a wonderful thing for which to be thankful.

My name is Tak Iwasaki, Jazz Vocalist Arranger/Creator, and Educator. I’ve always wanted to create a video channel that focuses deeply into Jazz Vocal Improvisation. My intent is to share a training method specialized for a vocalist, in other words, “How efficient(easy) can a vocalist learn how to improvise?”.

Most approaches for learning Jazz improvisation are mapped out from an instrumentalist point of view, which is not all that wrong but sometimes incompetent for a vocalist that lacks keys/buttons for creating sound.

For an instrumentalist, learning jazz improvisation involves tremendous hours of repetitive practice until you get everything under your fingers, so that one can make instant reaction to the music. The reaction needs both a trained ear to hear in the mind what you want to play, and also for your body to respond to incorporate what you desired to play.
In comparison, a vocalist is not required to have anything under their fingers, but is preferred a highly trained ear (since you can’t rely on keys/buttons), and a set of vocal folds that react to its demands of the brain/mind. Thus, the majority of training/learning and practice for a vocal-improviser should be heavily relying on the ear. There will be a series of videos coming up involving a lot of listening, singing along, rhythm exercises and a bit of essential chord instrument usage.

Looking at life through the eyes of a tire hub

Eating seeds as a pastime activity
The toxicity of our city, of our city

New, what do you own the world?
How do you own disorder, disorder
Now, somewhere between the sacred silence, sacred silence and sleep
Somewhere between the sacred silence and sleep
Disorder, disorder, disorder

More wood for their fires, loud neighbours
Flashlight reveries caught in the headlights of a truck

Eating seeds as a pastime activity
The toxicity of our city, of our city

Clea DuVall Says It’s ‘Remarkable’ Being Able To Make An LGBTQ Film Like Happiest Season

0

It’s remarkable. I remember when we made But I’m a Cheerleader, which remains one of my favorite projects I’ve ever been able to be a part of, not just because of, you know, what the movie was, but then also what the movie represented to people and still represents to people even now, 20 years later. But it was, you know, it was a struggle to get that movie and to get – Jamie Babbit, the director of that movie, really hustled to put together our budget. We didn’t have a lot, but we made it and she did such a good job. But now to be able to have this LGBTQ+ story and have a major studio behind us and have even just like the support that we’ve received from people seeing the trailer – it really feels so incredible that there’s such an appetite for a story like this that I hope it leads the way for more movies like it.
