From a tranquil desert to a spooky mansion, Saint Laurent continues to show off their new collection in exciting ways. This time around, YSL’s Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello tapped Argentine filmmaker and previous collaborator Gaspar Noé to give life to his Summer 21 Collection. The nearly eight-minute film titled SUMMER OF ’21 begins with a woman running and screaming in a forest before she finds refuge in a mansion comprised of models and lots of red. Rooms and hallways are imbued in hazy velvet light while a remix of Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love” by Sebastian plays in the background. The English actress Charlotte Rampling plays a mysterious and eerie priestess as models strut and saunter from room to room. The film calls back to the first Saint Laurent Rive Gauche boutiques of the ’60s and blends dreaminess and pleasure with tension and danger. Check it out below.
