Dickinson Season 2 Trailer: Emily Struggles with Her Impending Fame
Apple TV+ has released the official trailer for the upcoming second season of their historical comedy-drama series Dickinson, featuring Hailee Steinfeld’s Emily as she contemplates the idea of sharing her poems to the world because of how fame could dangerous affect her. The series is scheduled to return with three new episodes on January 8, 2021, followed by new episodes weekly. Check out the video in the player below!

Dickinson is set during Emily Dickinson’s era with a modern sensibility and tone. It takes viewers into the world of Emily, audaciously exploring the constraints of society, gender, and family from the perspective of a budding writer who doesn’t fit into her own time through her imaginative point of view. Dickinson, written by Alena Smith (The Affair, The Newsroom), is Emily’s coming-of-age story — one woman’s fight to get her voice heard.
It stars Jane Krakowski, Toby Huss, Adrian Enscoe, Anna Baryshnikov, Ella Hunt, John Mulaney, Wiz Khalifa and Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit), who leadING the series as iconic poet Emily Dickinson. Season 2 will also feature new guest stars including Nick Kroll as Edgar Allan Poe, Timothy Simons as Frederick Law Olmstead, Ayo Edebiri as Hattie, Pico Alexander as Ship and Will Pullen as Nobody along with Game of Thrones alum and Iron Fist star Finn Jones as Sam Bowles.

Dickinson is created, written, and executive produced by Alena Smith and executive produced by Hailee Steinfeld. David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express, Vice Principals) directs and will also executive produce alongside Smith, Michael Sugar (Spotlight) and Ashley Zalta (Maniac) for Sugar23 Productions, as well as Alex Goldstone for Anonymous Content, and Darlene Hunt (The Big C).
