Ice Cube has spoken out after the death of Tommy “Tiny” Lister Jr.
The rapper took to Twitter to pay respects to his co-star from the movie Friday and its sequel, Next Friday.
“RIP Tiny “Deebo” Lister,” he wrote. “America’s favorite bully was a born entertainer who would pop into character at the drop of a hat terrifying people on and off camera/ Followed by a big smile and laugh. Thank you for being a good dude at heart. I miss you already.”

Lister was found unresponsive at his home on Dec. 10. He was transported to the hospital and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Though an autopsy will confirm the cause of death, Lister’s manager, Cindy Cowan, told CNN that the actor had been experiencing COVID symptoms in the days leading to his death.

Cowan revealed that Lister was supposed to have gone to a set for a new movie recently but canceled because he was having a hard time breathing. “Tiny doesn’t miss movies; he took it very seriously, she said.
Lister also canceled plans to speak on a panel that was scheduled for a TV festival on Dec. 9. After calls went unanswered for welfare checks by his family, a friend went to his house and called the police when no one answered the door.
