While chatting with the Golden Globe and Emmy nominee about his role in Josh Duhamelâs forthcoming directorial debut, Buddy Games, Johnny âDramaâ revealed that after multiple talks with series creator Doug Ellin to continue the gangâs story, the 52-year-old Emmy nominee has swayed towards Dillonâs way.
âIsnât that just a great show for a pandemic,â Dillon asked with a bright smile. âHe and I are actually going to record the next episode of our podcast, Victory the Podcast, together after this with Kevin Connolly. Leading up to the filmâs release, the cast and Ellin were all on board to return for more, with the seriesâ creator even telling Vanity Fair at the time that he was ready to make â20 sequelsâ if given the opportunity, though the filmâs modest box office numbers and mixed reception from critics made the franchiseâs future unclear. While some have expressed uncertainty on if the show would work going into the future, the cast still have all remained adamant that if the offer came their way to reunite for more, theyâd say yes in a heartbeat.

Created by Ellin and first premiering in July 2004, Entourage centered on rising movie star Vincent Chase as he navigates his way through the entertainment industry with his boys, manager Eric âEâ Murphy (Connolly), best friend and unofficial driver Salvatore âTurtleâ Assante (Jerry Ferrara), brother and struggling former star Johnny âDramaâ Chase (Dillon) and hot-headed agent Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven). In its eight-season run, the series received mostly positive reviews from critics and audiences alike, garnering 26 Emmy nominations and 14 Golden Globe nominations with Piven and the series being nominated at the latter every year and Piven winning in 2007 for Best Supporting Actor.
