NGHTMRE takes on ZHU‘s latest genre-bending production, “I Admit It” featuring 24kGoldn, for an insane remix that balances “swaggering power and delicate beauty.”
The ominous nature of the original carries over into the intro of the remix, before cinematic elements ultimately take hold. NGHTMRE builds up his musical vision for “I Admit It” deliberately, creating much tension before landing into a grimy circus of growling synths.
NGHTMRE shares of the release:
ZHU is one of my personal favorite artists and it’s always dope working with him. He has an amazing vision for what he wants and always makes it happen. For this remix, I tried to give it even more energy than the original, and added a second drop that’s a bit more melodic. I hope everyone has as much fun listening to it as I did making it!
This isn’t the first time ZHU and NGHTMRE have teamed up… In 2019, the two collaborated on “Man’s First Inhibition” featuring Kidd Keem, a song that plays out magnificently to both of their styles. NGHTMRE also remixed Ekali x ZHU’s “Blame” in 2018.
More recently, ZHU and NGHTMRE threw down b2b for Digital Mirage’s Friendsgiving edition, put on by Proximity and Brownies & Lemonade.
