Greetings from #Kalavimaan. This recipe is a part of special starter series #KVstarterecipes of Veg Starters, snacks or tea time snacks recipes. This is a very easy recipe, very quick and trust me very tasty.
This recipe is very Tasty and smoky, could be made healthier with tips given below and is totally very easy to make. You’ll enjoy Tandoori Flavours without using a tandoor at your home. Below are the details related to the recipe.
Preparation time: – 10 mins
Resting time: – 1 – 2 hours
Cooking time: – 10 mins
Serves: – 2-4 people

Ingredients required: –
1. 250g – 300g Paneer – 2-2.5-inch size cubes
2. 2 capsicum – diced in 2-2.5-inch square pieces
3. 2 tomatoes – diced in 2-2.5-inch square pieces
4. 2 onion- diced in 2-2.5-inch square pieces
5. 100-150g thick curd
6. Roasted besan – 2 tablespoons
7. 1 tablespoon Mustard oil (or any other, but I’ll highly recommend mustard oil)
8. Ginger garlic paste – 1 tablespoon
9. Red chili powder – ½ tablespoon
10. Coriander powder – ½ tablespoon
11. Jeera powder – ½ tablespoon
12. Garam masala – ½ tablespoon
13. Black pepper powder – 1/4th teaspoon
14. Black salt – 1/4th teaspoon
15. Vinegar / lemon juice – ½ tablespoon
16. Kasuri methi – ½ tablespoon
17. Fresh/ dried Mint leaves – ½ tablespoon
18. Salt to taste

PROCEDURE: –
1. In a mixing bowl add curd, jeera powder, red chili powder, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, garam masala, black salt, salt to taste, kasuri methi, mint leaves, vinegar, mustard oil and roasted besan.
2. Mix everything well.
3. Then add paneer cubes, capsicum, onion and tomato pieces and mix everything carefully with hand until veggies and paneer well coated.
4. Now let it marinate for 1-2 hours. (minimum 1 hour is necessary for the veggies and paneer to absorb the flavours properly)
5. After 1-2 hours, take skewers and place the cubes with paneer as shown.
6. Now heat a pan, apply some butter and place the tikkas on the pan.
7. Cook then until golden from all the side.
8. Now this step is really important to give it a tandoor like taste see video.
Serve how with dhaniya pudina chutney and some veggies.

Ingredients required for chutney: –
1. Handful dhaniya -chopped
2. 2 tablespoons mint leaves
3. Ginger – 1 inch
4. Garlic – 4-5 cloves
5. 5-6 tablespoons curd
6. 2-3 green chilies (or to taste)
7. Jeera powder – 1/4th teaspoon
8. Black salt – 1/4th teaspoon
9. Salt to taste
Procedure: –
1. Put everything in the ginger and paste a smooth paste.
