Last year, after Scooter Braun and his Ithaca Holdings LLC bought the master rights to Taylor Swift’s Big Machine catalog, Swift said that she planned to re-record her albums to regain control of her masters. She’s now previewed a new version of “Love Story.” It soundtracks an ad that Ryan Reynolds made for Match. In the ad, Satan and a woman named “2020” fall in love. Watch below.
Braun recently sold Swift’s masters to a private equity company called Shamrock Holdings. Responding to the news, Swift said she is in the midst of her re-recording and promised “plenty of surprises.”
