“I’ve just gotten into the habit of being happy-go-lucky no matter how I’m really feeling because I know most people don’t want to hear the truth.”
“You don’t have to do that with me.”

There With You by Samantha Young is the second book in the Adair Family series (Here With Me Book #1)and we are LOVING this family! We were excited to get stuck into Thane Adair’s story; the stoic, grumpy, haunted single dad who’d experienced a great tragedy. We knew his story would be a sad tale and we also knew it would take quite the woman to get underneath that hard exterior where his wounded heart lays. There With You was sweet, emotional, funny, and had that wonderful feel-good factor as well as moments of exhilarating drama-filled suspense. We are so in love with this series. The stories are compelling, the scenery wonderful and so descriptive we feel as though we’re in the Scottish Highlands, such is the vivid and picturesque imagery written by Samantha Young. The characters are brilliant and relatable, you cannot help falling in love with them. Whilst There With You can be read as a standalone, we highly recommend reading the series in its entirety. It’s not only a great series, but you’ll also forge a deep connection with all the characters and feel a part of the Adair family. The depth of the characters and their individual backgrounds cements an all-encompassing love and personal interest. You do not want to miss out on that!

‘This…this with Thane, though, I’d remember forever. I wasn’t vulnerable at all. I was relieved. That I’d found him. This beautiful, kind, funny, sexy, sometimes irritating, emotionally suppressed Scotsman whose love for his children only made me adore him more.’

Thane Adair is literally bowled over by the younger and magnificent Regan Penhaligon; the wayward and impulsive sister of Robyn who surprisingly turns up to make amends. Resolving her relationship with her sister is however not the only reason Regan has turned up, she’s also running into hiding from a psycho stalker. There’s almost an immediate chemistry between Thane and Regan, which is only intensified when she becomes the live-in nanny for his gorgeous kiddies. Their romance was drama-filled, angsty and so swoony and hot. Their banter was fabulous, the interactions with Thane’s children, adorable. Knowing what we did about Regan from the previous book, we were completely surprised by her character, and as we got to know her, we fell in love with her spirit, her quiet lioness personality as well as her loyalty and fierce love. Regarding, Thane, well it’s always the quiet ones, right?! Yummy-luscious doesn’t begin to cover it *wink wink*. Talk about sexual chemistry! Without question, this series is just getting better and better. Bring on the next Adair book, we’re more than ready for it, and cannot wait!

“You’re my woman and I’m your man, and fuck what anyone else has to say about it.”
