Peacock has released the first official Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy trailer. It previews the upcoming documentary about Sean Combs, his rise to fame, and the alleged actions which brought his public downfall.

The Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy trailer promises to offer up a “raw, exclusive” look at Diddy before he was known as the mega star he would become. The documentary features never-before-seen footage from people who knew him growing up, and sheds light on his childhood and recent criminal allegations.
Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy is set to release on Peacock on January 14, 2025.

The upcoming documentary is executive produced by Ari Mark, Phil Lott, Sumit David, Stephanie Frederic, Laura Jones, Justine Kershaw, and Sara Lavery.

The special features candid, revealing interviews with some of those who’ve known Diddy best – including his childhood friend, his former bodyguard, and a “Making the Band” winner. Plus singer/songwriter/producer Al B. Sure!, who was Diddy’s label mate at Uptown Records and in a relationship with Kim Porter before she began dating Diddy, speaks out for the first time.”
In 2024, Combs was arrested and charged with sex trafficking and racketeering, a charge for which he pleaded not guilty. As of December 2024, he is detained and awaiting trial for May 2025, after having been denied bail three times.
