Adele: 30 [Columbia]

Six years after her third album 25, Adele announced her return—with a divorce record, no less—at the beginning of October, sharing “Easy On Me” a few days later. She released the tracklist before teasing “Hold On” in a holiday-themed advertisement. She also performed “Hold On,” “I Drink Wine,” and “Love Is a Game” in a concert special.

Ovlov: Buds [Exploding in Sound]

Love, friendship, and mental health are among the subjects that Ovlov address on Buds. It’s the third album from the Connecticut-based band—brothers Steve, Theo, and Jon Hartnett, plus guitarist Morgan Luzzi—and follows 2018’s Tru. Ovlov shared “Land of Steve-O” from the record ahead of its arrival, as well as “Eat More” and “The Wishing Well.” The Hartnetts’ father, Ted, plays a sax solo on the Spirited Away–inspired “Cheer Up, Chihiro!”
