An HBO Max comedy series, The Other Two stars Drew Tarver, Heléne Yorke, Case Walker, Ken Marino, and Molly Shannon, with Brandon Scott Jones, Gideon Glick, Josh Segarra, and Wanda Sykes recurring. Guest stars include Ali Ahn, James Anderson, Justin Bartha, Jordana Brewster, Alessia Cara, Marcia DeBonis, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Ryan Farrell, Jimmy Fowlie, Noah Galvin, Zosia Mamet, Debi Mazar, Derek Peth, Alison Rich, Tuc Watkins, Bowen Yang, and Ian Ziering. The comedy centers on 28-year-old struggling actor Cary Dubeck (Tarver) and his 30-year-old sister, Brooke Dubek (Yorke), a former dancer who is struggling with life, when their little brother Chase (Walker), aka “ChaseDreams,” skyrockets to fame, courtesy of the Internet. In season two, with their pop star brother officially entering retirement at the ripe old age of 14, Brooke and Cary must now contend with a new famous family member: their 53-year-old mother Pat (Shannon), and her eponymous daytime talk show. Humiliated at being “the other two” yet again, they double down and make it their mission not to be.

Hillary Sterling spent nearly seven years at Vic’s in Noho firmly establishing herself in the top tier of New York’s Italian-food chefs. (Before that, she studied the cuisine at Lupa and A Voce.) But then Danny Meyer made her an offer too good to pass up, involving that ultimate form of chef bait, a custom-built showcase wood-burning grill, not to mention the chance to create a brand-new restaurant in Manhattan West, the newly skyscrapered parcel of the West Thirties tucked in between Hudson Yards and the Moynihan Train Hall.

The place is called Ci Siamo, slang for “are you ready?”; it can also mean “let’s go,” “here we are,” or “we’re ready,” a sentiment Meyer feels encapsulates this back-to-work, back-to-school, back-to-life moment in pandemic-muffled midtown. “It’s all the things I love,” says Sterling. “Pasta, breads, the wood-fired cooking I’ve never been able to do professionally.” Ci Siamo was conceived as predominantly traditional Italian, but unlike Meyer’s other Italian kitchens, Maialino and Marta, it has no regional focus, and will also draw inspiration from Spain and France as well as New York City, which made menu development challenging. “I was racking my brain,” Sterling says. During an early meeting, Meyer said, “I just want it to feel like we’re going out to come home.”

Oh my God, what does this mean?, Sterling remembers thinking. She pondered the koan for days. “On Friday, I got home, and my wife was out of town. I sat down at my dining-room table and poured myself a Campari-soda, and of course I needed a snack. So I opened up a bag of pistachios, and I sat there by myself eating pistachios and drinking a Campari-soda, and I was like, This is what he means. That’s what it would be like if you came to my house. I would always open something, a bitter spirit or an aperitif and some pistachios or potato chips. Not overthinking it is sometimes the most comforting experience we can provide.”

Because you can’t open a restaurant and offer your public only nuts and spritzes, Sterling plans to make all her own pastas, including gnocchilike topini and a tagliatelle with tomatoes and buffalo butter, the chef’s ode to Marcella Hazan’s tomato sauce to end all tomato sauces. Sterling will trade in Vic’s featherlight round pies for variants like pizza bianca and “cast-iron” focaccia, and many of the main courses, from whole trout to bistecca fiorentina, will touch the open flame. Desserts along the lines of lemon torta and pistachio bomboloni are the province of Claudia Fleming, the former Gramercy Tavern pastry chef who actually did come home, professionally speaking, to Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group. She’ll join Meyer and Sterling in saying, Let’s go. We’re ready. Here we are.

Erika Jayne Sued for $25 Million in Tom Girardi’s Bankruptcy Case

Erika Jayne owes $25 million to her estranged husband’s law firm, according to a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles on Aug. 26 and obtained by E! News. 

The trustee behind the Girardi Keese bankruptcy case sued the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 50, for more than $25.5 million plus interest, after Erika allegedly paid for her “extravagant lifestyle” using firm funds.

“The glam cannot be supported by a sham,” trustee Elissa Miller states in the first amended complaint. 

Erika, along with her EJ Global and Pretty Mess companies, allegedly received jewelry and other luxury items that were purchased using funds from Tom Girardi‘s Girardi Keese company.

“Erika has taken the ludicrous position that since she did not receive the payments directly from the [firm] she is not liable,” the suit states. 

It continues, “She attempts to create a distinction between handing her money directly versus paying all of her bills directly. The distinction, like her prior motion for reconsideration is meritless. Any payments made for her benefit are her responsibility.” 

Per the lawsuit, $14 million was charged on her American Express card and another $11 million was paid to shopping vendors.

Emery Rose perfectly captured the beauty and pain of first love and unrequited love. She captured the torment and passion of closure and moving on, and she created a story where the path to true love wasn’t just rocky but paved with boulder-sized obstacles that sent our hearts on a roller coaster of emotions.

‘Love makes you reckless. All logic and reason flew out the window, and you let your emotions take the driver’s seat. You took your chances, pretending to be brave while you ignored the consequences. That’s how it was for me, anyway.’

We felt it all, the push and the resistance, the love and the anguish, in a story that gave us those ‘old school‘ vibes that reminds us why we love this genre. There’s nothing like torturing your heart, only to have it healed in the most wonderful way, and topping it off with an epilogue that was perfection!
