Air Trailer Previews Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s Sneaker Drama

The Air trailer for Ben Affleck’s sneaker drama that deals with the unprecedented deal between Nike and Michael Jordan.

It also sets the movie’s theatrical release date, which is April 5, 2023. Directed by Affleck, who also stars in the film, it features a stacked cast that also includes Matt Damon, Jason Bateman, Chris Messina, Matthew Maher, Marlon Wayans, Jay Mohr, Julius Tennon, with Chris Tucker, and Viola Davis.

Air will be led by Affleck and Damon as they portray the respective roles of Nike co-founder Phil Knight and sports marketing executive John Paul Vincent “Sonny” Vaccaro. The story will center around the popular shoe company’s game-changing sneaker deal with then-rising NBA star Michael Jordan, which helped bring the brand to its global status today.

Air is directed by Affleck from a screenplay written by Alex Convery. Joining the Good Will Hunting stars are Jason Bateman as Rob Strasser, Chris Messina as David Falk, Matthew Maher as Peter Moore, Marlon Wayans as George Raveling, Chris Tucker as Howard White, Viola Davis as Deloris Jordan, Gustaf Skarsgård as Horst Dassler, and Julius Tennon as James Jordan.

The project will be produced by Affleck and Damon along with Mandalay Pictures’ Peter Guber and Jason Michael Berman. It is a production by Amazon Studios and Skydance Sports.

Throughout 2022, Harry Suttor (aka Late Night Therapy) gave us a collection of invigorating singles, such as “Getting Older,” and “Backseat Heartbeat,” which showcased just how talented he is as a songwriter in addition to producing.

We’re thrilled to premiere his latest single, “Through Your Eyes”, that’s a mesmerizing journey from start to finish. The trippy ambiance provides the backdrop as vocals float on top, building into a captivating climax.

Here’s what Late Night Therapy had to say about it:

“I wrote this song as an ode to the act of making music itself. The line heard in the intro “Take me there” is referring to the mental flow state I’m taken to whilst making music. Music for me is an outlet more than anything else. In order to be myself, I need to get in the studio and create. It’s something that I just have to do, like a type of Therapy.”

Jane Fonda & Lily Tomlin Reunite in New Comedy Pic

The official Moving On trailer for Roadside Attractions‘ upcoming comedy has been revealed, featuring Grace and Frankie alums Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin as two friends who get the chance to reconnect by plotting revenge against their late friend’s husband. The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters on March 17.

Before Moving On‘s theatrical debut, Fonda and Tomlin will first reunite in Paramount Pictures’ upcoming sports comedy 80 for Brady, where they’ll star alongside fellow acclaimed actresses Rita Moreno and Sally Field. 80 for Brady hits theaters this Friday, February 3.

Moving On is written and directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Paul Weitz, who previously worked with Tomlin on the road trip comedy film Grandma. Joining Fonda and Tomlin are Malcolm McDowell, Richard Roundtree, Catherine Dent, Nancy De Mayo, Eddie Martinez, and more.

The film will feature Fonda and Tomlin as “estranged friends who reunite to seek revenge on the petulant widower of their recently deceased best friend,” according to the film’s synopsis. “Along the way, Fonda’s character reunites with her great love as each woman learns to make peace with the past and each other.”

Executive producers are Zack Schiller, David Boies, Tyler Zacharia, Dan Balgoyen, and Britta Rowings. It is produced by Andrew Miano, Stephanie Meurer, Paul Weitz, Chris Parker, and Dylan Sellers. Moving On was fully financed by Limelight and Boies Schiller Entertainment.

Duval Timothy Shares New Video for “First Rain”: Watch

Duval Timothy has shared a new video capturing a live performance of his 2018 song “First Rain.” The clip was filmed in different parts of Freetown, Sierra Leone—his father’s home country. Footage of Timothy playing was shot at the artist’s own Carrying Colour Studio. Check out the Edem Wornoo-directed visual below.

“First Rain” appears on Timothy’s 2018 2 Sim EP. His most recent album, Meeting With a Judas Tree, arrived last fall. In addition to sharing the “First Rain” clip, Timothy has created an exclusive hand-woven scarf, with a limited edition run of 100 available. The scarves are a collaboration between Carrying Colour and Crack Magazine and are made by Tamba Thomas at his workspace in Sierra Leone. Footage of Thomas weaving one of the scarves can be seen in the video.
