Universal Pictures has finally dropped the official trailer for Knock at the Cabin, M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming horror thriller starring Dave Bautista and Jonathan Groff. The film will be arriving in theaters on February 3, 2023.

The Knock at the Cabin trailer begins with a happy family of three as they spend their vacation at a secluded cabin. However, their vacation is cut short by the sudden arrival of four armed strangers claiming to be the heralds of the apocalypse. Led by Bautista’s Leonard, they explained to the family that they must make a difficult decision in order to prevent the upcoming end of the world.

Based on Paul Tremblay’s 2018 novel, Knock at the Cabin is written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. The film stars Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3), Jonathan Groff (Hamilton, Mindhunter), Ben Aldridge (Pennyworth, Fleabag), Nikki Amuka-Bird (Old), newcomer Kristen Cui, Abby Quinn (Little Women) and Rupert Grint (Servant).

“While vacationing at a remote cabin, a young girl and her parents are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand that the family make an unthinkable choice to avert the apocalypse,” reads the synopsis. “With limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what they believe before all is lost.”

Knock at the Cabin is produced by Shyamalan and Ashwin Rajan through their Blinding Edge Pictures banner along with Marc Bienstock. Executive producers are Steven Schneider, Christos V. Konstantakopoulos and Ashley Fox.

Okeechobee, Insomniac’s premier multigenre festival in Florida, returns next year with quite the lineup.

Odesza returns to OMF for their first time since the festival’s inaugural 2016 show with their new album The Last Goodbye, and their first festival show in four year. Baby Keem will make his first headline festival appearance after completing a successful world tour with his cousin, Kendrick Lamar. Making his fourth OMF appearance, GRiZ returns to the stage at Sunshine Grove. Bass music king Excision will make his first OMF performance. Rock & roll hall of famers, Earth, Wind & Fire, will be bringing legendary soul, funk, R&B and a disco performance to OMF. One of the hottest jam bands today, Goose, will make their OMF debut and Turnstile will be representing hardcore punk’s biggest band.

OMF’s 120+ artist lineup spans across an array of genres ranging from electronic, hip-hop, rap, R&B, dance, rock, dubstep, disco, funk, indie, house, and techno, amongst others, and also features powerhouse artists such as Big Boi, Channel Tres, Free Nationals, Dirty Heads, Local Natives, Hippo Campus, Princess Nokia and more.

Attendees can expect to Enter the Portal into a world of expansive music programming, explore the festival’s large-scale art installations and immersive art experiences, enjoy workshops, talks and varied wellness programming, savor a variety of food and drink options, interact up close & personal with some of their favorite artists with expanded programming of the Experience PoWoW!, listen to never-played and never-to-be played again music at the Saturday night PoWoW! featuring eclectic musical artists, and camp under the country starscape.

Co-founder, Rechulski, expressed his excitement going into year six: “Hosting OMF at Sunshine Grove is always an exciting experience. There will be new and engaging art on display across the venue, and a great selection of up and coming national and international breakthrough artists, as well as many familiar sounds that we love so much. The Kang Dynasty Enlists Ant-Man 3 Writer

Ahead of the upcoming 2023 release of Ant-Man and Wasp: Quantumania, writer Jeff Loveness has already found his next project with Marvel Studios. Deadline brings word that Loveness has officially been tapped to pen the blockbuster studios’ fifth Avengers film Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. The project will reunite him with Jonathan Majors’ titular villain, who will be making his official grand debut in next year’s Quantumania.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will be directed by Shang-Chi filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton, who’s also currently working with Marvel Studios on its live-action series adaptation of Wonder Man. The film is currently scheduled to make its debut in theaters on May 2, 2025, it will then shortly be followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on November 7, 2025.

According to Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige during the panel, both of these films are currently planned to be the final entries in Phase 6 of the MCU, which will begin with the introduction of the Fantastic Four into the MCU.

During the Disney+ series Loki‘s season finale, Kang (played by Jonathan Majors) was revealed, setting the stage for who many fans believed to be the next “big bad” in the MCU, Kang the Conqueror, to appear. The name Kang Dynasty also likely refers to a 16-part comic series from Marvel that saw Kang and his son, Marcus, planning to conquer planet Earth.

Michelle Branch was the guest on an upcoming episode of Tamron Hall Show. During her appearance, she performed a new song and sat down for an in-depth interview about her since-dropped domestic assault charges for slapping her husband Patrick Carney of the Black Keys, her upcoming album The Trouble With Fever, and motherhood. The full episode airs on Thursday (September 15), but a teaser clip shows Branch confirming that she slapped Carney before their fallout and divorce proceedings became public.

“I don’t condone violence,” Branch told Hall. “What went down was so unfortunate. It was the worst night of my life. Then to have that out in the world as I’m getting ready to put out a record has been a lot, but all I can do is be honest about what I’m going through and what’s going on.” Branch then explained that she and Carney have since started therapy and it’s “helped us immensely.” She elaborated further:

Here I am. I’m only seven months postpartum from having a baby. Every parent in the audience knows this: sleep stress, life stress, marriage stress, work stress. And also we’d been out at a birthday party that night and I’d had a few drinks. All the blocks were stacked in a way that I didn’t have time to think about what I was doing. It was one of those things that I was like, “Is this really happening? Did this really happen? Oh, I probably shouldn’t have tweeted that. Oh, I definitely shouldn’t have let my anger get the best of me.” It’s unfortunate that it took this horrible, traumatic event [for] my husband and I realize how we were going was unsustainable. Maybe this will give us the tools to have a stronger marriage than we’ve ever had. So we’re rolling up our sleeves and doing the work, which never sounds like fun but we’re doing it.
