Jungleland director has spoken out a lot about the physicality needed for the new boxing movie to work. In particular, Charlie Hunnam changed his physique for the movie in a way you may not expect, losing weight and simply trying to look more down-and-out than we’d seen the actor in other gigs to give the character an edge. Max Winkler said that Hunnam is a lead actor in Sons of Anarchy and other roles, but in his heart he’s more of a character actor, telling Variety he really felt confident in Hunnam jumping into the role wholeheartedly.

Never thought I’d say this, but I can’t wait to be a rat. The ride has existed over at Disneyland Paris since 2014 but, during 2017’s D23 expo, it was announced to be joining EPCOT’s World Showcase in the French Pavilion — well, because obviously our favorite French rat needs to be represented there! Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure has its guests “shrinking” to Remy’s size and venturing through Gusteau’s kitchen in an attraction inspired by the sequence set to the “Wall Rat” piece of Michael Giacchino’s score from the movie.

It Does Body Horror Really Well

Long before there were any rumors that the Dr. Strange sequel might be a horror movie, there were rumors that the Fantastic Four reboot would get there first. You see, the director, Josh Trank, who also did the excellent movie Chronicle is a big fan of David Cronenberg, who pretty much created the sub-genre of body horror. In this sub-genre, the horror is actually of the human body, usually in the form of self-mutilation, but sometimes, it can be as existential as aging or deteriorating. This sounds like a prime source to pull from for a superhero movie, right? Well, Fox apparently didn’t think so, either, which is why there is so little body horror in the final product.

But the stuff that is in there is actually super effective. When the team gets back to Earth, the characters—most notably Miles Teller’s Mr. Fantastic, and Jamie Bell’s The Thing—are truly suffering through their transformations, with Jamie Bell’s distress of turning into a human rock genuinely horrifying, which brings me to my next point.
