On this edition of the Special Edition with Sid McCoy radio program, circa 1981, Teena Marie discusses “I’m Just a Sucker for Your Love” and “I’m Gonna Have My Cake (And Eat It Too)” from her debut album, and writing “Aladdin’s Lamp” from her second album . This interview was a promotional vehicle for the then-new ‘It Must Be Magic’ album. Also included are three commercials for Michelob beer, the show’s sponsor, performed by Ashford & Simpson. I have cut out most of the commercially available songs so that 1) unintended copyright infringement is avoided; 2) this clip’s time comes in under YouTube’s 15-minute upload limit; 3) the interview is the main focus. Uploaded for educational/research purposes.
